Dua Lipa's ex Paul Jason Klein cuts a stylish figure as he is spotted on coffee run in Sydney - after revealing he is 'fortunate' to be alive following Vespa accident

Paul Jason Klein was seen looking healthy and stylish as he strolled through Sydney's CBD on Wednesday, stopping by the popular Paramount Coffee Project. 

The singer of American indie pop band LANY, — who has previously dated Dua Lipa and Nicola Peltz Beckham — is currently in Australia for his re-scheduled sold-out shows.

Klein, 36,  suffered a traumatic accident on June 6 when he was hit by a car while driving his Vespa home from the gym. 

The singer showed off a laid-back yet fashionable look as he kept a low profile for his outing.

He was dressed in a distressed white T-shirt emblazoned with 'Orleans Saints' in bold lettering.

Klein complemented his top with a quilted burgundy sweater draped over his shoulders for that extra touch of street style.

His loose, faded denim jeans added to the relaxed vibe, featuring rugged patches and subtle distressing that gave them an edgy, worn-in look.

Completing the outfit, he wore a pair of black sneakers and accessorised with dark sunglasses, giving him an air of mystery as he made his way to the coffee shop.

In a vulnerable moment, back in June, he revealed, 'I don't really remember anything after the collision... I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance.'

The singer has expressed deep gratitude for his survival, admitting that he's cried 'a lot of thankful and happy tears' since the accident, and understands his luck.

The incident left Klein with mobility challenges, though he's been assured by doctors that a full recovery is in sight.

The singer explained that while his vitals were stable, 'walking and moving around is still a challenge' but he's 'getting progressively better' with each passing day.

Due to the injuries sustained, Klein had no choice but to postpone the initial dates for his Australian and New Zealand tour, initially scheduled for August.

LANY consists of singer Klein and guitarist Jake Clifford Goss. Their keyboardist, Les Priest, departed from the band in 2022 just before they released their latest album, A Beautiful Blur.

In January 2018, Paul and Dua split after a brief five-month romance.

A music source told The Sun: 'Dua and Paul had a really good time together but things just didn't work out. 

'The break-up has brought back memories of Isaac, who she split with this time last year.

'She has been messaging him again but she has been out of the country for the last few weeks so they haven't seen each other.'

Dua started dating Paul after meeting him at the British Summertime Festival, having split from ex Isaac Carew that February.
