Even if you aren't particularly into anime or animated series more generally, chances are you know about or have seen an episode of Dragon Ball Z. The legendary Toei Animation project is easily one of the biggest examples of the genre in history, and it has earned its position in conversations about the greatest of all time.
Within that, Goku is also one of the most iconic characters ever, and any time he appears, he's likely to draw some attention from the existing fan base and community. Now, he's about to return in an entirely new form, and it will almost certainly be something that many would never have expected.

As first reported by ScreenTime over on Twitter/X, the first ever LEGO Dragon Ball Z set has supposedly been leaked, and it's a $200 Shenron diorama with a Young Goku minifigure. We've obviously seen plenty of the character as a child over the years, but having it in minifigure form is going to be a different thing entirely.
In case you didn't already know, there's a huge market for unique minifigures, with some going for thousands of dollars on the open market. An entirely unique Goku serving as his first appearance in this form is likely to attract a high price in the future, depending on how many copies of the set they sell.
As you might expect, fans were very keen to see an official announcement from LEGO themselves, with one saying, "Maybe this will be the first time I will buy some LEGO as an adult. As long as it looks good in the display case."
While another added, "Young Goku minifig in November, full DBZ theme in 2027… my wallet is already crying."
A third put forward a theory that this could be part of a much larger line, saying, "So (my guess) then Dragon Ball sets first, then Z, then Daima, and finally Super. by then, the anime should be well into its schedule. Obviously, there won't be GT, and if there is, then include the Z films (only the big ones like Broli and Wrath of the Dragon)."
As mentioned earlier, these are very much only leaks at this point, so we'll have to take them with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from LEGO. If it does come to fruition though, it could be the start of a very exciting run for Dragon Ball in brick form.
