Panzy's father, the Third Demon World King, arrives to battle.

Dragon Ball Daima episode #16 is looking to be an extremely important episode, as the heroes' assault on Gomah's palace continues. However, the next episode preview suggests some treachery may be afoot...

Dragon Ball Daima episode #15 was action-packed, as Goku's group began the episode under fire, and spent much of the runtime fighting for their lives against Gomah's Gendarmerie. The villains had a massive numbers advantage, and some high-tech weaponry that could allow them to keep fighting for days, but the skill and power of Goku and friends proved them quite capable of holding their own, even against an army. Goku used Super Saiyan to help turn the tide, and the group was joined by Panzy's father and his own troops in a desperate moment.

What Happened in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #15?

An Epic Battle Breaks Out as Goku Approaches Gomah

Goku and Vegeta after Vegeta recovers in the midst of battle.

The episode began with Goku's group already under fire, giving it an intense opening. Goku's group was fairing decently well despite the numbers advantage that the enemy had. While fighting, Goku was struck by one of the Gendarmerie's ray guns, temporarily incapacitating him and proving that their weaponry actually did pose a problem for the heroes. Then planes were deployed against them, packing even more powerful weapons. Goku attempted to appeal to Neva for help, but Neva insisted that they had to solve this particular problem themselves.

Things continued to escalate as the Gendarmerie deployed tanks, which fired bolts of energy that could affect a large area, zapping Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo all at once. Things were looking grim when suddenly explosives rained down from above, destroying one of the tanks. It was soon revealed that Panzy's father, the King of the Third Demon World, had arrived with his own elite troops, intending to aid Goku's group with their assault on Gomah. With reinforcements and renewed spirit, Goku and friends were able to push back, dealing massive damage to Gomah's forces as Goku went Super Saiyan.

Meanwhile, Gomah managed to spot the belt buckle that Hybis was wearing on his screen, and immediately recognized it as the long-lost Evil Third Eye. An artifact of immense magical power, it was revealed that Dabura was the one who had arranged for it to be stolen, only for the thief to be killed and the artifact lost. Now in Hybis' hands, Gomah ordered Degesu to retrieve it no matter the cost. Fortunately for Degesu, Hybis was willing to trade his belt for a strange hat, unknowingly handing over the dangerous artifact to the enemy and creating a new problem for Goku.

Dragon Ball Daima Episode #15 Was One of the Most Exciting Yet

Everything is Coming to a Head in Daima

Panzy celebrates Goku's success in battle.

With the situation reaching a tipping point, episode #15 was perhaps the most exciting yet. Dragon Ball fans are well known for their love of fight scenes, and this episode was almost wall-to-wall with fights, making for a thrilling confrontation. Ordinarily, groups of soldiers like this are treated as no real threat at all for Goku and Vegeta, no matter how many there are, so it was refreshing to see common footsoldiers who, while not particularly tough, could still pose a danger to the Saiyans with their guns.

It was also delightful to see the King of the Third Demon World show up to lend Goku some much-needed aid. The King has proven to be a surprisingly useful ally, making Panzy an even more significant member of the group. Nearly everyone got a chance to shine in this episode, with Neva, Supreme Kai, and Bulma essentially the only ones not fighting. It was also fun to see some backstory on Dabura's rise to power, and how treacherous the leadership of the Demon Realm can be. Had Dabura been in possession of the Third Eye during the Buu Saga, he could've been a very dangerous opponent indeed.

What to Expect in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #16

Degesu Takes Young Dende Hostage

Degesu holds baby Dende hostage at gunpoint.

Episode #16 of Dragon Ball Daima is entitled "Degesu," and will seemingly focus on Supreme Kai's brother and servant to Gomah, Degesu. In the preview, Degesu is shown holding baby Dende hostage, threatening to kill the tiny Namekian if his demands aren't met. Degesu has mostly been portrayed as an anxious sort, worrying about the consequences of Gomah's decisions and sometimes reluctant to enact his demands, so seeing him turn to hostage-taking is a bit of surprise. Degesu does seem primarily concerned with his own survival, so it may well be perfectly in character for him to take Dende hostage if that means living to see another day.

Presumably, the battle between Goku's group and the Gendarmerie will continue as they push inside of Gomah's palace. The Gendarmerie Force, introduced in the last episode, has yet to see battle, so they may make an appearance in the battle as Gomah's last line of defense. There's also the slumbering Majins Kuu and Duu, although Arinsu doesn't seem likely to deploy them against the group quite yet. And, of course, as Goku's group draws closer to their goal, Glorio's position becomes more of a problem; will he betray Goku and friends for Arinsu, after all they've been through together? Only the next episode of Dragon Ball Daima will reveal the truth.
