Dr Chris Brown is shedding his notoriously private persona on his new radio show.
The television vet, who is taking over Kyle Sandilands' KIIS FM Sydney breakfast slot, has been quietly dating girlfriend Lorraine Monforte for close to two years, and plans to be more open about his romance from now on.
'You need to bring a lot of yourself (to radio),' Brown, 48, told the Courier Mail this weekend.
'And one of the surprises of our new show is how much of my life I'm going to share.'
Chris said that his fans 'are going to get the most real version of me that they've ever had.'
'And I'm not worried about that … I am actually going to find it quite refreshing,' he added.

Brown also responded to Sandilands' comments about his new gig at KIIS FM, where the shock jock called the television host 'vanilla' and 'boring'.
The TV star thanked Sandilands for the 'free publicity' and insisted that he won't be making a boring show.
'I don't want to do boring radio. And I don't think I've ever done anything in my career that would be counted as being vanilla,' he said.
Speaking to news.com.au, Brown explained why he's been reluctant to share details of his personal life in the past.
'I think in TV, you're often adhering to a script or to an edit or to what that show needs from you as a host,' he said.
Brown went Instagram official with his stunning partner Monforte, 41, in May, after quietly dating for around a year.
Lorraine posted a series of images of the pair cuddled up and soaking in a sauna, as well as enjoying social events and holidays together, in what is unmistakably a 'hard launch' for the genetically-blessed couple.
The TV star was quick to reply in the comments section alongside the post: 'Couple goals right there.'

The carousel of images proves that while Chris has expertly kept his new love out of view, he and Lorraine have been enjoying a blissful romance behind the scenes.
It appears that the pair are now getting serious, with Chris indicating recently that he has finally found someone who understands his life in the limelight.
'Yes, I'm in a relationship and really happy,' the vet confirmed on the Something To Talk About podcast.
'The great thing with Lorraine is that she was a publicist for a TV network for 13 years,' he continued.
'That's how we first became friends. And that's essentially all it was for quite a period of time.
'But she gets TV and she gets the media landscape. So she understands when the phrase "hard launch" is used, where that's coming from, so she's able to laugh at it.'
