Dorit Kemsley opened up about her son Jagger's 'difficult' battle with septic hip that led to multiple surgeries and a lengthy hospitalization.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 48, took to Instagram to share photos of herself, 10-year-old son Jagger, daughter Phoenix and estranged husband Paul dressed up as The Flintstones for Halloween as she updated her 1.6 million followers on her son's medical condition.
She admitted the past month had 'been very difficult for our family.'
'Jagger had 2 surgeries in under a week for septic hip, had to stay in the hospital nearly 2 weeks, and just when we thought it was all over, we had a set back this week.'
According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, the condition — also known as Septic Arthritis — is an infection of joint fluid and tissue that spreads through the bloodstream. It is most commonly found in children and is treated by administering antibiotics and draining excess fluid.

The doting mother-of-two continued: 'Luckily, this incredibly brave, courageous little boy is a fighter (like Rocky, as he would say☺️) and we were able to enjoy Halloween like he desperately wanted to. That made this Halloween extra special for all of us.'
And she praised her son's nurses and physicians at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for caring for his health and well-being.
'Grateful to @cedarssinai, all of the doctors and nurses involved and for all the love and support we’ve received from so many,' she said.
Dorit also penned a note to Jagger for his resilience and 'strength' through his health battle.
'I’m in awe and so proud of our little munchkin, his strength, positive mindset and can do attitude he’s maintained through everything he’s been through. Feeling blessed and hopeful that better days lay ahead. Yabadaba dooo from the Flintstones! ☀️,'she finished.
Last month, Dorit and Paul — who separated months ago but are still legally married — shared photos of their son in a wheelchair at the hospital, along with a message updating fans on his condition after he complained of feeling 'unwell.'
In a separate post, Paul, 57, wrote: 'Spent 24 / 7 with Jagger for the last few days, even though we are in the hospital, it’s such a gift to have the time, to listen to this little fella who honestly is wise beyond his years.
'@doritkemsley is an unbelievably brilliant mother, and I’m happy to let you all know that Jagger is on the other side of this now and we are taking him home tomorrow. Dorit and myself are so grateful for all the well wishers … I know I’m totally biased but this kid only has kindness and love in his heart .. I don’t think you can teach that … it’s just him ❤️.'
