The Real Housewives of New York City alum Dorinda Medley will be joining The Golden Life (wt), following the exit of Jill Zarin. Zarin was fired last week from E!‘s forthcoming reunion series, featuring former cast members of Bravo‘s RHONY, following her racist remarks on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Medley joins previously announced Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer in the new series set in Palm Beach, FL. In it, the five will take their take their friendships from the busy streets of New York City to the sandy coast of Palm Beach, FL. Produced by Blink49 Studios, the ten-episode season is set to start filming this spring in South Florida.
Zarin was let go from the reunion show last week. “In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life” the production company said in a statement. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”
The Golden Life (wt) will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones.
“Well, the rumors are true! I will be joining the women on The Golden Life in Palm Beach,” Medley said. “After decades of friendship, and navigating life’s ups and downs together, it will be nice to reconnect with my ‘sisters.’ I am so excited to celebrate and share the next chapter of our lives.”
Medley appeared on the first six seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City, initially as a guest star in season 4. She joined the cast full-time in season 7 in 2015 and exited in 2020.
The Golden Life (w/t) is produced by Blink49 Studios with Tara Long, Nadine Rajabi, Mark Ford and Ben Megargel serving as executive producers.
