Lainey Wilson Gushes Over Collabs With Dolly Parton & Stella Rosa Wine

Lainey Wilson is still daydreamin’ about her set at the Crystal Bar.

Over three years after the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer made her acting debut in season five of Yellowstone, she’s interested in appearing in the show’s upcoming spinoffs. In fact, while attending the 2026 Grammys—hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 1—she revealed her pitch.

“I told [the series’ co-creator] Taylor Sheridan, ‘Holler at me!” Lainey told Entertainment Tonight at the ceremony’s red carpet. “But who knows? We’ll see. Fingers crossed.”

In Yellowstone’s fifth and final season, the 33-year-old briefly starred as aspiring singer Aby. Since then, the Paramount show and its wide-brimmed Stetsons has expanded with several spinoffs, including 1883, 1923, the upcoming Marshals and more.

Though Lainey—who was nominated for Best Country Song and Country Solo Performance for her 2025 Whirlwind ballad, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” at the music ceremony—isn’t certain about her character’s fate in the franchise, she’s already completed her next role in Colleen Hoover's latest book-to-film adaptation Reminders of Him

“I’m such a fan of hers,” she expressed on working on the movie, which will release in March. “This is the first role that I got to play where I wasn’t a musician, which felt good. I wanted to step outside of that box and we did it. I can’t wait to do it again.”

Lainey continued, “When I hear Lainey Wilson: singer, songwriter, artist, performer, and actress, I really want to live up to that. So, this gave me the opportunity to do that.”

Indeed, the Bell Bottom Country star set her guitar aside to portray Amy, a grocery store clerk and close friend of main character Kenna Rowen, played by Maika Monroe. And as she continues to find her acting voice, she’s grateful she can find it on her own terms.

“The truth is? I never, in a million years, thought that I’d be doing acting,” she admitted. “I’ve always loved telling a story. No matter what, my music is number one. But if all these other opportunities are showing up, I’d sure hate to close the door on them.”

As for her latest musical win? Lainey crossed off an iconic moment from her bucket list: Teaming up with Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah and Reba to appear on Dolly Parton’s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning.

“She’s my hero. Dolly can do no wrong,” she marveled. “She’s been really good to me.”
