J Balvin told E! News during an exclusive interview at the 2026 Grammys—hosted by Trevor Noah in Los Angeles Feb. 1—that he sometimes sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber while on tour.
Does J Balvin Sleep in a Hyperbaric Chamber? He Says…
No matter what happens at the 2026 Grammys, J Balvin will sleep easy tonight.
That’s because the “Loco Contingo” singer confirmed that he sometimes sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber, a device that creates a pressurized environment where a user can breathe 100 percent oxygen, which can help enhance the body’s healing processes.
“I do, I do, I do. I definitely do,” J Balvin told Keltie Knight during an exclusive interview on Live from E!: Grammys Feb. 1. “When I'm on tour, but in the dressing room.”
And while the 40-year-old—whose album Mixteip is nominated for Best Música Urbana Album during the awards ceremony—may not use the device every night, he is certainly ready for some relaxation.
“I haven't taken any vacation yet,” he continued, noting his busy schedule. “Jesus Christ, I need it.”
Despite his exhaustion, though, J Balvin (real name José Álvaro Osorio Balvin) explained he is “really happy” and “really grateful” to be attending music’s biggest night, hosted by Trevor Noah for the sixth year in a row.
“I think it's so beautiful to see what's happening now,” he said, “and just having fun.”
Plus, the “Mi Gente” is thrilled to see his fellow Latin artists—including Bad Bunny and Karol G—being honored with nominations during the 2026 Grammys.
“I feel we have worked so much, and it’s not [just] me,” he shared. “It's all the artists who paved the way. We keep showing up. So, I think it's definitely a blessing to be here.”

Another blessing in J Balvin’s life? His partner Valentina Ferrer, who he wrote his song “Rio” for last year, explaining it’s the most romantic thing he’s ever done for her.
“We did a surprise,” he told E! of revealing the song to Valentina, who he’s been dating since 2018. “It was in Paris, and we showed her the first time the video as a surprise, and it's beautiful.”
Of course, J Balvin wasn’t the only start to attend music’s biggest night. Read on to see all the stars who showed up and showed out at the 2026 Grammys.
