The best era of Doctor Who is officially getting a new, exclusive streaming home.
Following the show's failed deal with Disney, the sci-fi series' greatest era of episodes will be getting a new home on streaming. In 2022, Disney made a deal with Bad Wolf and BBC Studios Productions to produce episodes of Doctor Who seasons 14 and 15, alongside the spinoff show The War Between the Land and the Sea. However, the deal ultimately ended after the release of the spinoff in 2025. While seasons 14 and 15 are still available to stream on Disney+, older eras of the show are more difficult to locate on streaming.
Now, it's been confirmed that AMC+ will be the official new home of Doctor Who's original revival series, with seasons 1 through 13 arriving on the platform Thursday, June 11, 2026. This includes both seasons and associated specials, totaling 176 episodes. The era covers the Ninth through Thirteenth Doctors, featuring every episode from 2005 to 2022, led by Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodi Whittaker.
