A series called Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures also premiered in 2017. However, a main sequel to the 2010 movie was never released in theaters.

Mandy Moore also suggested in the past that Carpenter could be a contender to play Rapunzel if Tangled was ever turned into a live-action film.

During an interview with Elite Daily, the This Is Us actress said of Sabrina, 'I could see her with 50 feet of hair or something. She looks like a Disney princess in real life.'

The star then pitched a role for herself and told the outlet, 'Maybe I could be Rapunzel's mom.'

'Let's have a real mother-daughter duet, and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be a young person in this world.'

Earlier this year in July, Zachary Levi offered his own thoughts on who should play Flynn Rider when rumors of a Tangled live-action movie were circulating.

Levi told Entertainment Tonight, 'I mean, he's already getting every other job but probably Timothee Chalamet?'

'Unfortunately I feel like I'm a little old - and that I don't know all of the younger actors that could be that guy.'

While both he and Moore might not reprise their roles in the live-action, he did offer the pair making a possible cameo.

'I think it would be fun if Mandy and I got to be Rapunzel's parents. I think that would be a really fun little cameo for us to pop in to,' Levi told the outlet.

In regards to the love the film has gotten even years after its release, Zachary stated, 'I'm so proud of that movie. I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of it.'

'I always dreamed about being in a Disney animated musical and then I got to be in one! And not just any one, like, I think it's one of the best ones that there is.'
