Sarah Paulson remembered her late friend Diane Keaton in an Instagram post on Sunday, which marked the one-year anniversary of the star's death at 79.

Paulson, 51, shared a picture of herself with Keaton and Keaton's daughter Dexter Keaton White, 30, with a brief caption in which she expressed her grief on the somber anniversary.

'One year. Impossible,' Paulson said. 'Laughing with you will always be what I remember most. I love you.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Paulson for comment but has not yet heard back.

Paulson chatted with The Hollywood Reporter last year just days after Keaton's death at 79 following a battle with bacterial pneumonia.

'I was incredibly close to her and this is a profoundly sad time for me,' said the American Horror Story star. 'I can’t talk about it in any way that’s articulate other than to say that for all you knew and loved about her as a performer, she was even more as a friend.'

The Emmy-winning actress initially crossed paths with Keaton filming 1999's The Other Sister, in which she played Heather, the daughter of Keaton's character Elizabeth.

Paulson spoke about working with the late star in an interview played during Chanel's Through Her Lens event following Keaton's death.

'She played my mother in a movie in my first sort of studio movie,' Paulson said. 'It was a really thrilling experience and she was the most generous, just playful, fun, alive performer and really taught me the power of beats in a scene.

'And I was so scared, and she really took me under her wing and we've been really good friends ever since.

She concluded: 'She's a filmmaker as well. She's a fashion icon. She's an absolute iconoclast. And I feel very lucky to call her a dear friend.'

Paulson's post came as Keaton's daughter Dexter shared a black-and-white picture with the late Oscar-winner from her wedding in 2021 to Jordan White in her own tribute on the social media platform.

'One year without you, mom,' Dexter said. 'It somehow feels like yesterday and forever ago all at once.

'I’m still trying to get used to a world where I can’t call you, have you there for a hug, or go on adventures with you.'

Keaton's daughter Dexter took to Instagram Sunday to mark the one-year memorial of the star's death at 79 following a battle with bacterial pneumonia

Dexter said that it was 'the everyday moments that remind' her 'just how much' she wished her late mother was 'still here.'

Dexter ended the emotional post by saying, 'I love you and I miss you. Always.'

The late star of films such as Annie Hall, The Godfather and The First Wives Club had adopted Dexter in 1996 and her brother Duke, 25, in 2001.

The daughter of the late star has posted multiple online memorials to Keaton in the year since her passing.

In May, she remembered her late parent with an emotional post with a series of photos of the two.

'First Mother’s Day without you,' Dexter said. 'I miss you more than words can say. Missing her voice, her hugs, her presence, and everything that made her home. I love you, Mom.'

Dexter earlier this year took to Instagram to mark the date that would have been Keaton's 80th birthday.

On January 5, Dexter posted a shot of her with the late star posed in front of an ocean, writing, 'I miss you, mom.'

Dexter in the post added an image of a tattoo she got in the wake of her mother's passing.

To commemorate Mother's Day in 2014, Dexter took to Instagram with a post praising Keaton as 'a strong, beautiful, and talented woman.'

She added, 'I couldn't thank you enough for everything you've done for me. I love you!'

Keaton in 2008 spoke with Ladies' Home Journal about parenting, telling the publication that she never thought she 'was ever going to be prepared to be a mother.'

She said that 'motherhood was not an urge I couldn't resist,' adding, 'It was more like a thought I'd been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in.'

Keaton left behind an amazing legacy in Hollywood, with some of her performances in the 1970s hailed as the decade's best.

They included the titular role in the 1977 comedy Annie Hall, which was written and directed by Woody Allen, with whom she collaborated on a number of memorable projects.

In 1978, Keaton claimed the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in Annie Hall, her first of four nominations.

She also received nods for her work in 1981's Reds, 1996's Marvin’s Room and 2003's Something’s Gotta Give.

Other notable movies Keaton performed in throughout her decades-long career included 1987's Baby Boom, 1996's The First Wives Club and the Father of the Bride films in 1991 and 1995.
