Dennis Quaid’s new Netflix movie is officially slated for a 2026 release.

It’s been a busy year for the actor. In the first half of 2026, Quaid appeared in I Can Only Imagine 2, Signal One, and the record-breaking War Machine. However, he isn’t done yet, as he’ll be seen in the film adaptation of a bestselling book before the year is over that, like War Machine, will be exclusively available on Netflix.

As shared by Tudum, A Dog’s Perfect Christmas, based on the same-named book by Bruce Cameron, will be released on the streaming platform on Wednesday, November 4. It’s the first Netflix original movie to be released that month, with later additions including Possible Love, Avedon, Heartland, Gentle Monster, Guarding Stars, Primetime Preacher$, Steps, and The Mosquito Bowl. A Dog’s Perfect Christmas comes out two days before movies like The Cat in the Hat, Ghost Soldier, Wild Horse Nine, and I Play Rocky are released in theaters.
