Demi Moore turns heads in a bizarre sleeping bag inspired look as she covers up on the red carpet alongside a glam Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz at Cannes Film Festival's star-studded closing ceremony

Demi Moore turned heads in a bizarre look as she joined Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz at the 79th Cannes Film Festival's closing ceremony on Saturday.

The Hollywood actress, 63, ensured all eyes were on her as she teamed a green bejewelled gown with a huge sleeping bag inspired shawl. 

Demi, who is on this year's festival jury, covered her arms with the kooky garment and opera gloves after sparking concern for her slimmed down appearance at the festival earlier this week.

She added extra height to her frame with pointed white heels and styled her glossy raven tresses poker straight.

Meanwhile Desperate Housewives star Eva, 51, dazzled in her latest stunning red carpet look as she slipped into a gorgeous gold sequinned gown.

Eva's stunning strapless look boasted a fitted bodice which accentuated her ample cleavage as well as long train and racy thigh-high split.

Slipping her feet into strappy heels, she complimented the look with diamond jewellery and styled her long caramel tresses into loose waves.

Elsewhere Oscar winner Peneople, 52, was epitome of elegance as as she took to the red carpet in a black and white feathered gown. 

The eye-catching bodice was adorned with striking plumage and the skirt featured dramatic tiered detailing. 

Zoe Saldana, 47, caught the eye in a colourful floral dress which featured a plunging neckline and ruffled skirt. 

Descendants star Sofia Carson, 33, channelled Hollywood icon Aubrey Hepburn in chic black velvet gown with matching opera gloves. 

The sculpted bodice hugged her tiny waist while she slicked her dark locks into a bun and accessorised with diamond and emerald jewellery. 

Oscar winner Geena Davis, 70, was equally stunning as she flaunted her age-defying figure in a burgundy bejewelled number. 

The Art Deco inspired gown was strapless and tailored to perfection while she forwent a necklace opting instead for matching ruby earrings. 

The Closing Ceremony will be hosted by Eye Haïdara, who also presented the Opening Ceremony on May 12. 

The awards are the Palme d'or, the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, the Best Director, the Best Screenplay, the Best Performance by an Actress, and the Best Performance by an Actor. 

This year for the Cannes Film Festival, Demi joins Hamnet director Chloé Zhao and actor Stellan Skarsgård on the jury.

Organisers unveiled the nine-member jury that will deliberate on the films in competition at the annual French Riviera festival in May.

As previously announced, South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook is president of the jury.

Along with him, Moore, Zhao and Skarsgård, the jurors are: Irish-Ethiopian actor Ruth Negga, Belgian director and screenwriter Laura Wandel, Chilean director and screenwriter Diego Céspedes, Ivorian American actor Isaach De Bankolé and Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty.

Speaking to the Daily Mail at the opening press conference, Demi said she felt 'tremendously honoured to be here'.

'It's such a beautiful experience and one just to be surrounded by cinema and the love of cinema, and the joy of diving in and being surrounded by those who share that is just – I just felt like a joy.

'And who can complain about the beautiful view of this incredible place? But yes, I just feel tremendously honoured and I'm super excited. I really – I feel like a little kid getting to play a grown-up.

'You know, prior I had only ever attended the Cannes Film Festival once, and that was only as someone's plus one. And so to be sitting here today, I am really, really tremendously honoured.

This year, the Cannes Film Festival will honour filmmaker Peter Jackson with a Palme d'Or.

Festival organisers announced Jackson as a recipient in March for what they hailed as 'a body of work that blends Hollywood blockbusters and films d'auteur with extraordinary artistic vision and technological audacity'.
