Demi Moore, 62, is shockingly youthful in a busty black dress as she leads the stars at SFFILM awards ceremony

She plays an aging actress who goes to gory extremes to continue looking youthful in her hit horror satire The Substance.

But Demi Moore already looked shockingly youthful when she hit the ready carpet at SFFILM's awards night in San Francisco, California, on Monday.

The 62-year-old star — who recently gave an emotional update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis' condition — showcased her glowing skin while looking chic in a figure-hugging black dress and a matching black denim jacket.

She was among the evening's honorees, along with Dune: Part Two filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, Saturday Night director Jason Reitman and The Piano Lesson filmmaker Malcolm Washington, who is the son of Denzel Washington and brother of star John David Washington.

Other stars making a splash on the red carpet for the film organization, which puts on the San Francisco International Film Festival, were Dune star Austin Butler, Gladiator II actress Connie Nielsen and Saturday Night actor Gabrielle LaBelle, among others.

Demi dressed down her look with a cropped black waxed denim jacket with an attached belt.

She complemented the casual yet stylish jacket with a similarly low-key silver chain around her throat 

The chain had three diamond-encrusted strands displayed prominently in front, and Demi wore matching diamond-encrusted earrings in the exact shame shame as the chain links. 

The whole all-black ensemble was tied together perfectly by the Ghost star's long raven tresses, which she wore styled straight and parted down the middle to put the spotlight on her age-defying visage. 

She had a special guest for the evening, her adorable Chihuahua Pilaf, who has been a staple of her recent publicity campaign. 

Demi has been getting some of the best reviews of her career for The Substance, which has already earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

In the over-the-top horror film — directed by French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat — she plays a former Oscar winner named Elisabeth Sparkle who now hosts a popular aerobics TV show.

However, after she turns 50, Elisabeth is dumped from her series by her piggish boss Harvey (Dennis Quaid), even though her younger replacement hasn't been secured yet.

She had a special guest for the evening, her adorable Chihuahua Pilaf, who has been a staple of her recent publicity campaign

She finds a way around aging out after she learns of a mysterious medication — 'the Substance' — that will allow her to inhabit a much younger body (played by Margaret Qualley). 

But the two bodies have to take turns using their bodies, and when they inevitably overstay their turns, both suffer stomach-churning side effects that have left some audience members rushing out of theaters in fits of nausea.

Demi was being honored at the ceremony with the Maria Manetti Shrem Award for Acting.

Joining her on the red carpet was Elvis and Dune: Part Two actor Austin Butler.

He looked classy in a black double-breasted suit with peaked lapels, which he left unbuttoned.

Gladiator II actress Connie Nielsen also favored black.

She looked stylish in a cut-out long-sleeve top with padded shoulders and a long black leather skirt. 

Denis Villeneuve, who directed Austin in Dune: Part Two, looked smart in a light-gray suit, though his tie-free medium-gray shirt looks washed out agains it.

Jason Reitman favored a gray–green suit, which he dressed down with a simple white sweatshirt.

Reitman, whose film Saturday Night delves into the origins of Saturday Night Live, was being honored with the Nion McEvoy & Leslie Berriman Award for Storytelling.

Malcolm Washington was being honored with the George Gund III Award for Virtuosity. 

The nepo baby filmmaker wore a crimson shirt with black pants and an elegant cashmere overcoat.

Gabriel LaBelle, who plays SNL creator Lorne Michael in Reitman's Saturday Night, looked smart in a dark gray suit with black suede Chelsea boots.

He opted to skip a tie for the event, as did several of the other male honorees.

Making a particularly stylish red-carpet appearance was fashion designer Zac Posen.

Another of the evening's stylish looks belonged to The Watermelon Woman actor and director Cheryl Dunye. She wore a black jacket with constrasting white buttons, a braided cowboy hate and striking blue-frame glasses

Posen was dressed in an intriguing black double-breasted sportcoat with tonal pinstripes, which he dressed down with a slim black turtleneck sweater and black jeans. 

The designer posed with Demi on the red carpet. 

The two are old friends, as she supported him early in his career, before his designs were regulars on the red carpets, and he has dressed her an numerous events over the years. 

Another of the evening's stylish looks belonged to The Watermelon Woman actor and director Cheryl Dunye, who became the first out Black lesbian to direct a film with 1996 classic.

She wore a striking black jacket with short lapels and contrasting white buttons, along with black trousers, a braided cowboy hat and powder-blue round-frame glasses that matched her nail polish.
