Demi Lovato Postpones Start of Tour to Protect Her Health
Demi Lovato needs to give her heart—and her body—a break.
As the 33-year-old prepares to go on her It’s Not That Deep tour, her first since 2022, she announced she’ll be scaling back some of the dates and locations.
“My Lovatics,” she began a Feb. 10 Instagram Story, “I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can. While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible."
"To protect my health," she added, "and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”
Demi shared she's canceling her performances in Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Denver, as well as pushing Orlando—which was originally scheduled as her second stop—back three days and making it the tour’s kick off.
Demi assured fans who purchased tickets to the now canceled dates on Ticketmaster or AXS they would be getting automatic refunds and encouraged anyone who got tickets through third-party resale sites to reach out directly to those companies.
“I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me,” the 33-year-old concluded her message. “Thank you for your support always. I love you and I cannot wait to see you soon.”

It’s Not That Deep marked a return to “Popvato,” a departure from her last studio album Holy Fvck. For Demi, the change in genre came around in some thanks to her husband Jutes—real name Jordan Lutes—with whom she tied the knot in May 2025.
“I think it's really a reflection of where I'm at personally,” the Camp Rock alum told Paper Magazine in an interview published in September. “I’m not in this place in my life where I need these huge emotional ballads to release some sort of deep emotional trauma I'm going through.”
In fact, while she started to write songs for the album that dealt with “heavy topics,” Demi found they weren’t resonating.
“I’m in a place in my life where my energy feels very light,” the 33-year-old explained. “I just got married. It was a learning curve for me to take what I've always known about music, which is write what you know now. I had to learn how to write what was new to me, and that's what this album is a reflection of.”
And her romance with Jutes, which started as a strictly platonic friendship before evolving into something more, has been a long time coming.
“I’ve waited my whole life for him,” Demi told People in 2024. “It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It’s very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much and he treats me so amazing.”
