Decrypt and Myriad announce self-custodial Information Exchange on Solana

1 hour ago 9

Decrypt, the crypto news publisher, wants its readers to do more than read. Its new self-custodial Money Accounts on Solana are designed to power Earn, Swaps, Predictions and Perps from one platform inside the Decrypt experience.

What Decrypt is actually building

Money Accounts serve as the plumbing. They give users a single self-custodial account that connects to four product lines: yield (Earn), token swaps, prediction markets and perpetual futures.

Self-custodial means the user holds the keys to their funds, not Decrypt.

On September 30, 2026, Decrypt and its sister brand Myriad announced “The Information Exchange,” a self-custodial financial and intelligence network anchored on Solana.

The network is set to bundle prediction markets, swaps, spot trading and perps directly alongside Decrypt’s news and data. The pitch is simple: read something market-moving, then act on it without leaving the app.

The rollout is planned in phases. The full product is expected to arrive during Solana Breakpoint, scheduled for November 15 to 17, 2026.

The MYR token is slated to handle staking and access functions across the network, but details remain under wraps until closer to launch, and there was no live token trading or specification at the time of the announcement.

The Myriad factor and the DASTAN playbook

Myriad, its prediction-market sibling, says it has racked up over $600 million in cumulative prediction-market volume.

Both brands sit under the same parent company, DASTAN. The Information Exchange is essentially DASTAN stitching its media arm and its markets arm together into a single product.

The Decrypt and Rug Radio network reaches roughly 1.6 million monthly unique users, according to the research findings tied to the announcement.

Why Solana, and why now

The choice of Solana tracks with the product design. Swaps, perps and prediction markets all generate frequent, small transactions, and Solana’s appeal has long rested on fast, low-cost execution.

Launching around Breakpoint also gives the project a built-in stage. Solana’s flagship conference draws the developers, traders and funds most likely to try a new on-chain venue in its first weeks.

What this means for traders and the industry

For users, the immediate appeal is convenience. One self-custodial account covering yield, swaps, predictions and leveraged perps removes the usual juggling act of bridging funds between apps.

Perps deserve a caution flag. Perpetual futures are leveraged contracts with no expiry date, and putting them one tap away from a breaking headline is a recipe for fast decisions.

There is an obvious tension worth watching. A publisher that also runs markets has to convince readers that coverage is not shaped by what drives trading volume. How Decrypt handles editorial separation from Myriad and the MYR token will likely shape how much trust the product earns.

The MYR token is the other open question. Staking and access functions suggest it will sit at the center of the network’s economics, but without published supply details, distribution plans or launch mechanics, there is nothing concrete to evaluate yet.

The checkpoints are clear. Watch for the phased rollout of features ahead of Breakpoint, the MYR token disclosures, and whether Myriad’s over $600 million volume track record grows once it has a newsroom feeding it traffic.
