The series follows a young girl named Sara being discovered by maintenance robots who opt to adopt the child and raise her after she was awoken prematurely from stasis.

In this world, humankind disappeared around 1000 years ago, making Sara's existence an anomaly, but also a danger. These robots choosing to raise her goes directly against their evil overlord known as Zero, who is hell-bent on making humans extinct, creating a thrilling story set in a very unique setting.

Eden 3 itself is both beautiful yet ominous, and the narrative focuses largely on humanity, even among non-human life. Alongside having some fun mysteries and an enjoyable story, Eden is just four episodes long, each of which lasts about 25 minutes, making it extremely simple to consume in a day or two.

With its Rotten Tomatoes score sitting at 88% among critics and 63% among audiences, it's safe to say the anime has more positives than negatives, making it a Netflix show worth binging this weekend. So, for those interested in something fun, creative, and heartfelt, Eden is a no-brainer, especially since it's so short.

Neil Patrick Harris also features heavily in the show as Zero — Eden's central antagonist.
