David Duchovny shocks with drag makeover as he dons blond wig and racy negligee

Hollywood heartthrob David Duchovny certainly had pulses racing for a different reason than usual as he dressed in drag for his latest role.

The 65-year-old A-list actor will surely shock fans as he donned a big, blond wig and lacy negligee on the Los Angeles set of Soapbox.

Duchovny looked in good spirits as he flashed a big smile while getting prepared to get in front of the camera with his new look.

The talented actor donned a racy all-black look consisting of lacy blouse, sequined mini skirt and stockings. 

He certainly committed to the bit as he also wore a blond wig featuring sideswept fringe and a swipe of bright red lipstick. 

Duchovny was not alone as he was joined by co-star Laverne Cox who stunned in a suit. 

Duchovny co-wrote the comedy film which is centered around an aging soap opera star who finds himself caught in the absurdities of today’s culture wars, according to Deadline.

Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates director Andrew Jay Cohen is helming the film which Duchovny co-wrote alongside Max Barbakow.

Duchovny's 26-year-old daughter with ex-wife Téa Leoni, West Duchovny, will also star in the project though her role is still unknown.

Others on the cast include Randall Park, Jimmi Simpson, and Jennifer Grey.

Duchovny is best known for his work on highly-popular 1990s sci-fi series X-Files from Chris Carter.

He starred on the series alongside Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi on the popular show, which is still a fan favorite to this day and is set to receive a reboot from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler. 

The science fiction drama hit screens on Fox and originally aired between 1993 and 2002, with 202 episodes aired across nine seasons. 

'Two F.B.I. Agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic, investigate the strange and unexplained, while hidden forces work to impede their efforts,' IMDB's synopsis reads. 

Years later a tenth series aired in 2016, followed by a revival in 2018.

Duchovny is currently married to 32-year-old Monique Pendleberry as he secretly married the woman over three decades his junior last year. 

Monique was just 24 when she started dating the then 58-year-old Californication star. 

Monique was born on June 14, 1993 and went to Newbury Park High School in Ventura County where she was the star of the soccer team.

She went on to play soccer in college at the University of California at Irvine and now runs a Malibu-based floral design company called Friday Flowers. 

Duchovny and Pendleberry have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight and only made their red carpet debut at the premiere of his film You People in 2023.

'They met at the juice company where Monique was working. I met David before she did, but we’ve all hung out. They travel together to New York, Canada and Malibu. But they’re not dating, they’re just friends,' Monique's uncle Dirk Drew told Radar Online in 2023.

The couple met at SunLife Organic Juicery, where Monique worked in 2017. A friend of David's owns the store. 

Prior to Monique, David was married to aforementioned actress Leoni, 60, from 1997 to 2014

The pair tied the knot in 1997 and quickly became one of Hollywood’s most prominent power couples, often praised for keeping their private life relatively low-key despite their fame.

However, their relationship hit a rough patch in 2008 when Duchovny checked himself into a rehabilitation center for treatment of sex addiction.

The separation made headlines, but the two reunited in 2011, sparking hope for a lasting reconciliation.

Despite their efforts, the couple quietly parted ways again and ultimately finalized their divorce in 2014 after 17 years of marriage.

They share two children: the previously mentioned daughter Madelaine West and son Kyd Miller Duchovny, 23, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
