Supergirl promises to reunite the DC Universe's Woman of Tomorrow and Man of Steel, with several new clips showing their bond.

As Supergirl enters the home stretch ahead of its theatrical debut in June, more footage has given context to Corenswet's return as the Man of Steel. Throughout several new television and social clips, Superman is shown meeting Kara as she arrives on earth and heard teaching her the ropes when it comes to her powers.

These Supergirl videos are a mix of action and voice-over, with most of Superman's lines being dubbed over other scenes. However, Clark and Kara's first meeting is shown, with Superman offering his cousin a smiling "Hi there" upon opening her escape pod. This moment offers a new look at Kara's pod, her space suit, and puppy Krypto.

Further dialogue spoken by Corenswet hints that he is helping Kara adapt to life on Earth. One line seems to indicate him training her to cope with the superhuman abilities that Kryptonians gain under a yellow sun: "Your powers are going to start kicking in right about... now!" Another quote pokes fun at Superman and Supergirl's famously colorful suits. "I know it's pretty colorful, but that's just so everyone knows we're good," Clark explains. Though it is absent of further context, this could be from the moment that Superman gives his cousin her suit.

In an additional spot, Ruthye and Kara discuss Superman. "He sees the good in everyone; I see the truth," Kara explains. While this quote was heard in a prior trailer, this exchange reveals why Supergirl was talking about her cousin to begin with. Notably, Ruthye refers to him by name, which could mean Superman's heroism is already known beyond Earth and throughout the Universe.

These clips combined hint that Clark's role as a mentor and cousin to Kara may be more substantial than previously thought, though Supergirl is definitively her story. So far, the cousins' dynamic seems to be a major element of the DCU moving forward, as Kara is also confirmed to appear in the 2027 Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow.

Supergirl releases in theaters on June 26, 2026.
