David Beckham shared a hug and a high five with a boy who has Down syndrome in a sweet moment posted online.

The former footballer, 51, was at Miami Freedom Park on Wednesday to watch his team, Inter Miami, play against Cincinnati.

But before the game kicked off, he greeted an adorable five-year-old boy called Huddy.

In a clip shared by Huddy's mum, influencer Melanie Droubay, the young boy could be seen entering the locker room, where David greeted him with a big hug.

The ecstatic boy couldn't contain his excitement as he ran up to the former footballer and gave him a high five.

David then held Huddy's hand and showed him around the locker room, where he got the chance to sit on Messi's chair.

Alongside the post, Melanie wrote: 'I have no words. Just tears in my eyes.

'Watching Huddy meet Mr. David in person was everything I could have dreamed of and more.

'He was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up with a high five and a hug and after that, they were best buddies.

'So grateful for David Beckham and his team for making this all possible.'

After the game, which saw both teams draw, David shared a series of sweet snaps of his interaction with Huddy on Instagram.

The post included them both donning football shirts with the number 23, the jersey number David famously wore during his time at Real Madrid.

Huddy also got the chance to walk onto the pitch before the game with Messi, while David was pictured giving the boy a thumbs up.

Alongside the post, David wrote: 'Tonight was a night to remember for us all in miami, we had a very special guest come and visit us with the biggest smile and the warmest heart.  Thank you to Huddy's Mom, dad & brothers for sharing these special moments with us x Mr David was very happy.'

The heartwarming post comes days after David showed off his ripped physique in a shirtless selfie as he enjoyed a morning coffee in New York.

The football ace took in the breathtaking views as he overlooked the stunning NYC skyline on his balcony.

Sharing a fresh-faced selfie on his Instagram Stories, David penned: 'Morning NYC... Coffee time'

David, who already has more than 60 tattoos, showcased his extensive collection while posing in the snap.

The father-of-four has been in the Big Apple to celebrate his wife Victoria's second collaboration with GAP.

When David and Victoria are not travelling around the world, when it comes to spending their weekends together, they're just like any other family.

It is tradition that they tuck into a roast dinner on Sundays, with David and Victoria – alongside Romeo, Cruz and Harper – sitting down at 6.30pm to eat together.

'Yorkshire puddings are a big crowd-pleaser, stuffing, lots of vegetables. No parsnips – it's one of the only foods my husband does not like and will not eat,' Victoria explained.

Victoria Beckham recently detailed the family's weekend routine when they are not travelling the world – with Sunday roasts and budget Bisto gravy a non-negotiable (pictured with her parents and in-laws)

To top it off there's lashings of 'extra thick' Bisto – which comes at a budget-friendly £1.75 price point.

'We're very traditional, actually, as a family,' Victoria added, explaining that they treat dinner time as quality family time away from their phones.

She added to The Sunday Times that they aren't precious when it comes to their crockery, and she doesn't insist on using coasters to protect their furniture.

'Things need to be used, things need to be shared. And if I've got beautiful glassware, I want everyone to use it,' she mused.

Asked if she was worried that pricier items might get damaged through everyday use, she mused: 'I don't think you can ever be too precious.'

Speaking to ELLE last year, Victoria shared: 'That’s what the Beckhams do. We like to have fun. We like to spend time all together.

'We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realise... We all support each other. We always show up for each other.

'I’ve always tried to be the best mom and wife that I can be. After my last show, I remember so vividly the kids and David coming backstage. I had just come off of my exit. And the looks on their faces when they approached me – it was a real pinch-me moment, because I saw how proud they were.

'It’s healthy that the children know Daddy goes to work, and Mommy goes to work. Working makes me the best version of me.'

David previously spoke about their weekend routine, telling People: 'In the countryside in the UK, my kids are there every weekend, and we all grill every Saturday from 11 in the morning until 12 at night.'

On whether Victoria got involved with the cooking, David quipped: 'She is more about eating and drinking… whereas it's me and the boys, and Harper actually loves to cook as well.'

In 2023, passionate cook David revealed he'd invested in one of pal Guy Ritchie's £50,000 BBQ tents.

The former pro footballer shared a look inside the epic double tent, which boasts a 12-seat table and BBQ alongside a huge grill.

The 'double tent' apparently can host up to 20 guests, however David's evening appeared to be a more intimate affair as he gave fans a look at what he was cooking.

Sharing a snap of his fish on the grill alongside a hearty portion of vegetables, David revealed that the cooking experience was 'unbelievable'.

David's cooking skills have even earned him a seal of approval from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who this year described David as a 'b****y good cook'.

He explained: 'David is a self-confessed perfectionist and if he’s going to cook, he wants to make sure that he is a b****y good cook. And he is.'
