David Beckham shouted out his favourite local cafe on Monday, as he shared a slew of snaps from a visit to the Essex eatery with his son Romeo and mother Sandra.

The former footballer, 49, is a regular punter at Tony's Pie & Mash shop in Waltham Abbey, located just outside of his Leytonstone birthplace.

And last week, he treated Romeo, 22, and Sandra, 75, to a plate of pie, mashed potato and liquor gravy for just £5.50.

The arrival of the sports legend casual stopping by for a bite to eat shocked diners and David was mobbed by excited fans.

Taking to his Instagram Stories a week later, he praised the restaurant as 'the best' and shared snaps of him, Romeo and Sandra tucking into their meals.

Alongside shots of the famous English dish, the cafe's menu and posing the staff, David wrote: 'Lovely lunch as always'.

He put on casual display for the outing in a khaki-green shirt and rugged blue jeans, teamed with his favoured tweed baker boy cap.

While Romeo, who recently celebrated his birthday with a lavish party in Mayfairlooked comfy in a grey tracksuit and a knitted beanie.

The father-son duo took some time to take photos with the gathered fans, with David even kindly signing several children's football shirts.

The owner of the pie and mash shop, Tony, previously took to shop's Instagram to share snaps from the famous family's visit.

Captioning the post, he gushed: 'Look who popped in for lunch on Saturday. Always a pleasure to see @davidbeckham and family.

'They always make the customers feel special and make time for pictures and autographs. What an absolute legend.'

In stark contrast to her husband's social media posts on Monday, Victoria Beckham took to her own Instagram Story to share a snap working up a sweat in their home gym.

The former Spice Girl, 50, looked sensational as showed off her washboard abs in a pair of black high-waisted leggings with a Nike sports bra.

She had thrown a white towel around her shoulders after the gruelling workout and was also seen wearing a pair of fingerless gloves.

For the snap, the fashion designer stood on her home gym's very own catwalk as she snapped a mirror selfie.

It comes after Victoria lifted the lid on her 25-year marriage to David for a new Disney+ documentary.

In a new docuseries In Vogue: The 90s, she revealed how her husband bought a brand new Prada suit just to 'impress her' on their first date after she said she liked the brand.

Gushing about her love for designer clothes, Victoria recalled: 'Versace, Prada, and Gucci, they were my go-to designers. What was it they were getting right at the time? I suppose they really understood the power of celebrity.

'The Italians embraced that. When I first met David in 1997 he'd heard that I was the Spice Girl that liked the designer clothes.'

She told the camera: 'So, after me going to a couple of football matches and I would say, you know, me sort of like, pursuing him, he'd probably say me stalking him, we arranged to go out on a date together.

'He's like, "I don't know what to wear, she's the one who likes designer clothes," and so he actually went out and bought himself a full Prada look for our first date, to impress me.'

Laughing, the mother-of-four added: 'Which it did, because it was Prada.'
