Dave Grohl has called off a divorce lawyer weeks after he admitted fathering a secret baby outside of his marriage to wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum.
The Foo Fighters rocker, 55, shocked fans in September when he confessed to cheating on Blum, 48, and welcoming a baby girl with an as-yet unnamed woman - revealing he was fighting to regain his family's trust.
Now a source has told People the musician is focused on working things out with Blum and their three daughters and that, for now, divorce is off the table.
They said: 'He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife'
A second source said the star 'loves his family' adding: 'Dave’s been prioritizing his family. He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.'

Multiple sources claimed Blum has known about the baby 'for a while' and said she is a 'great mom and very dedicated to their daughters.'
The musician announced in a statement on social media on September 10 that he had welcomed a daughter while vowing to try to 'regain [the] trust' of his wife and their three daughters.
They share Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10,
'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,' Grohl announced to his 1.4 million followers on Instagram.
'I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.'
He concluded: 'We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,' he concluded the brief post.
Grohl did not share any information about his fourth child's mother in the post.
Grohl and his wife met in 2001 and have been married since 2003.

Following his announcement that he had fathered a child outside his marriage, his two older daughters both took down their social media accounts.
Days later his alleged relationship with porn publisher Annaliese Nielsen, 40, was brought to light, with her former friends telling DailyMail.com that she had a 15-year affair with the front man.
Blum reportedly 'turned a blind eye' to Grohl’s behavior throughout their marriage, but she could speak out in the wake of the latest bombshells.
'Close friends believe she has turned a blind eye to Dave's indiscretions for a long time,' the insider said.
'Now he has humiliated her in front of the world with his baby bombshell, she can no longer hide behind the facade of a perfect marriage.'
It was also reported that he recently was arguing with Blum over her 'flirty' relationship with her married tennis coach Christopher Crabb, in what insiders claimed was an attempt to detract from his own indiscretions.
'Dave Grohl has been jealous for ages about Jordyn’s hot tennis coach,' an insider previously told DailyMail.com.
'They've had arguments about him, and Dave thinks they’ve flirted. Jordyn has told him he’s crazy to even think that. But Dave has persisted.’
His admission about marital infidelity followed an admission to The Guardian in 2007 that he had also cheated on his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood.
The two married in 1994 but had separated by 1996, and they divorced the following year.
His band Foo Fighters are reportedly 'set to take a hiatus' amid his affair scandal (Nate Mendel, Dave and Pat Smear pictured on stage in June 2021)
The rock star, who has often been described as a 'family man,' has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews throughout the years.
In the same Guardian interview, Grohl said: '[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.'
Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family 'changed everything that I do.'
He added: 'It's changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It's inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.'
While little is publicly known about Blum, People reported she once appeared on the cover of Teen - after being discovered at a supermarket when she was 12.
Blum was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the frontman.
But Grohl told Elle in 2007 that he was not ready for a serious relationship when they first met, and stopped calling Blum after a few dates.
He shared: 'After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, "Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again."'
