Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum put on a united front at pre-Grammy Gala... after rocker's shock cheating scandal

Dave Grohl's marriage with Jordyn Blum appears to have overcome his shocking cheating scandal. 

The couple's relationship was rocked after the Foo Fighters frontman confirmed he had fathered a baby with another woman – rock and roll fan Jennifer Young - in September 2024.

They have made few red carpet appearances since the controversy erupted, but their public appearances have increased ahead of the Grammys.

On Saturday night, the couple put on a united front as they attended the 2026 Pre-Grammy Gala. 

In a sign of how much the relationship has been repaired, they appeared cosy and in good spirits as they posed with Grohl's hand around his wife's waist.

Grohl was dressed dapperly in a black suit and turtleneck while his wife wowed in a glamorous emerald green dress with daring side split. 

Joining them on the red carpet was their daughter, Violet Grohl, 19, who, like her father, has pursued a career in music. 

This latest appearance marks the third time in a week the duo had attending a public event together.

It comes over a year after the Grohl admitted to fathering a child outside of his marriage to Blum.  

Jennifer Young confirmed to Page Six last year that she is the mother of Grohl's child. 

According to records viewed by the outlet, their baby was born on August 1, 2024 and Dave's last name is listed on the birth certificate.

The rocker's daughter lives with her mother in Los Angeles and often takes their daughter for walks in their neighbourhood.

Insiders told the Daily Mail how Grohl and Blum have worked hard to overhaul their marriage, enduring months of counselling sessions and implementing strict rules to allow her to keep tabs on her philandering spouse in a desperate bid to rebuild trust.

'Jordyn was shocked and publicly embarrassed when she found out about his cheating,' one insider said. 'But despite most of her friends advising her to divorce Dave, she decided not to do anything rash.

'After careful consideration they entered couples therapy for around six months. It helped them to get to the good place they're at now.'

Their seemingly solid marriage – and Grohl's 'nicest guy in rock image' – were shattered in September 2024 when the Foo Fighters frontman revealed he had secretly fathered a fourth daughter.

'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,' he wrote in a shock statement posted to Instagram. 'I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

'I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.'

That trust seemed hard to build, with Grohl and Blum soon pictured without their wedding rings amid reports that the rocker had consulted a divorce attorney.

But for now, at least it seems, divorce is not on the cards – on the proviso that Grohl abides by Blum's list of conditions.

'When this happened, it hit the fan and they almost split up,' a second insider said.

'She gave a whole list of conditions to stay together. She now has his location on her phone. She knows where he is and what he's doing. She can look at his phone at any time. But it goes both ways, she shares her location as well. They keep tabs on each other.

'Dave started keeping more normal hours. Spending the night at home rather than on the road. He knows that she can – and has – surprised him with visits when he's traveling. It's a very short leash. The boundaries have not loosened up – he's still very much on thin ice.'

Grohl, who has often been described as a 'family man,' has talked frequently over the years about how important family has been for him, claiming his wife and children are the 'anchors that keep me from completely disappearing'.

Prior to meeting Blum, Grohl's checkered rock star past was plagued with rumours - and admissions - of infidelity.

He divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating. Reflecting on their three-year marriage in 1999, he said: 'I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren't ready to get married.'

He then dated Louise Post from the band Veruca Salt – who accused him of cheating on her with a handful of women.

For Blum, the infidelity was not enough to break them, and she is now focusing on returning to the 'life they had before,' but with 'no real wish to see Dave's new child' only time will tell if they'll be able to navigate his new co-parenting duties.

'Dave has a presence in his daughter's life, and he has set up her financially. He has limited contact with Jennifer, but things are amicable. He does spend time with the baby when he can, and a time-sharing plan has been set up. Jennifer has the baby most of the time.

'The plan is that their daughter will grow up knowing her half-siblings.'

One other insider added: 'Jordyn has no relationship with Jennifer, and doesn't care to. She has to have a relationship with his daughter, and she doesn't resent that. It was a pretty huge betrayal, and even Dave acknowledges that. He knows that she deserved to be angry. So we'll see where it goes, but for now they're thriving.'
