Daredevil has fought almost every evil force on the planet, and he has just made the surprising confession that he believes that the Gaping Maw is deadlier than the Hand. It's hard to keep track of just how many evil secret societies there are in the Marvel Universe: A.I.M., Hydra, the Hand, and now the Gaping Maw. Daredevil's declaration is incredible, especially for someone as familiar with the Hand as Matt Murdock.
In Spider-Boy #14 by Dan Slott and Paco Medina, Bullseye and his new sidekick Spider-Girl have entered the greatest martial arts tournament in the world. To prevent them from winning, Daredevil and Spider-Boy give chase, entering the same tournament being run by the Gaping Maw, causing Daredevil to admit that of all the secret societies he's fought, the Gaping Maw is perhaps the deadliest organization on the planet.
This statement is remarkable, especially considering just how many dangerous organizations on the planet there are - and how many Daredevil himself has faced.

The Gaping Maw would have to be dangerous if they're capable of running a martial arts tournament that would attract the attention of Bullseye. It's still hard, though, to imagine that any group could be more dangerous than the Hand. Daredevil has spent decades fighting them, and he's best suited to judge if the Gaping Maw is more dangerous than them.
There's no one more suited to judge "deadliest secret society" than Daredevil.
Several thousand years old and worshipers of an ancient demon, the Hand is one of the most dangerous cults that has ever existed in the Marvel Universe. They have been fighting to take control of the world and bring forth their demon god for hundreds of years. While Daredevil has been their primary foe, they're a world-wide threat. They even captured and brainwashed Wolverine at one point, turning him into a deadly villain who nearly brought down the United States.

The Gaping Maw Is an Even Bigger Threat Than the Hand
That Daredevil would say the Gaping Maw is more dangerous than the Hand is borderline ridiculous, considering what the Hand has accomplished. But there's no one more suited to judge "deadliest secret society" than Daredevil. Not only has Daredevil been fighting against the Hand for decades, but at one point, he was even the leader of the organization. In an attempt to prevent Kingpin from taking over the Hand and becoming the most dangerous man on the planet, Daredevil took his spot, resulting in Daredevil being possessed by the Beast and nearly ending the world.

It's currently unclear exactly what makes the Gaping Maw so deadly. Daredevil simply states that they're likely the deadliest fighting force on the planet, which means they'd have to be incredibly dangerous to be a bigger threat than the Hand. The Hand has used tactics such as reviving people from the dead and brainwashing heroes and villains alike to serve them. The ninjas of the Hand have no concern for their own well-being and will happily sacrifice themselves to achieve the cult's goals. While it's hard to imagine the Gaping Maw being deadlier than that, Daredevil surely knows something that fans currently don't.
