Ryan O'Rourke is a Senior News Writer at Collider with a specific interest in all things adult animation, video game adaptations, and the work of Mike Flanagan. He is also an experienced baseball writer with over six years of articles between multiple outlets, most notably FanSided's CubbiesCrib. Whether it's taking in a baseball game, a new season of Futurama or Castlevania: Nocturne, or playing the latest From Software title, he is always finding ways to show his fandom. When it comes to gaming and anything that takes inspiration from it, he is deeply opinionated on what's going on. Outside of entertainment, he's a graduate of Eureka College with a Bachelor's in Communication where he honed his craft as a writer. Between The IV Leader at Illinois Valley Community College and The Pegasus at Eureka, he spent the majority of his college career publishing articles on everything from politics to campus happenings and, of course, entertainment for the student body. Those principles he learned covering the 2020 election, Palestine, and so much more are brought here to Collider, where he has gleefully written on everything from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes to Nathan Lane baby-birding sewer boys.

After Wilson Fisk, there's arguably no greater enemy to Daredevil than Bullseye. The Man Without Fear and the assassin have a long history together, dating back to his first appearance in Daredevil #131 in 1976. Since then, Bullseye has used his supernatural aim to make Matt Murdock's life a living hell, killing not one, but two of his love interests — Elektra Natchios and Karen Page. On-screen, he added the vigilante's best friend, Foggy Nelson, to his body count in a shocking moment in the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again that nearly led Matt to break his no-kill rule.
Needless to say, it takes extraordinary circumstances to get the two adversaries on the same side. There is rarely a time when Bullseye isn't trying to kill Matt, and their fights across all media are numerous and brutal. Born Again Season 2 did forge an uneasy alliance between the two, with Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force hunting them both down as criminals, but otherwise, there's been little in the way of teamwork between them. In the brutal world of Marvel Zombies, however, the line between friend and foe is blurred with the world's greatest heroes turned into flesh-eating monsters and the survivors left to fight an ever-growing horde of the walking dead. Tom Waltz and artist Jaime Infante's Marvel Zombies: War Zone, then, Matt and Dex are about to unite like never before.
Spoilers ahead for Marvel Zombies: War Zone #2
'Marvel Zombies: War Zone' Introduces the Devils of Hell's Kitchen

The five-part series unfolds in a Manhattan overrun by the undead, where the Avengers and other heroes, or
the "spandex cavalry," as Frank Castle dubs them, either fall in the battle against the zombies or become part of the horde themselves. The Punisher is one of the survivors left fighting in the quarantined city and seeking answers about the outbreak. However, he's not alone. Issue #2 has him crossing paths with Luke Cage and Iron Fist, part of a small group who dug in when it was clear escape was impossible. Together, they're pulled into a fight with the Daughters of the Dragon, Colleen Wing and Misty Knight, that forces Frank to reconsider whether he's in over his head. After a close call that nearly infects Danny with the Hunger, Frank resolves to head back to his safehouse to restock before fighting Gorgon. Heading into Hell's Kitchen means coming up against the "Devils of Hell's Kitchen" — an infected Daredevil and Bullseye duo.
Even in the context of the twisted world of Marvel Zombies, the sight of Matt Murdock standing side-by-side with the man who has all too often murdered the people he loves is given chilling weight. They each have glowing green eyes and ghoulish smiles that pierce through the darkness and green smog, looming on the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen and waiting to ambush anyone who dares enter the neighborhood. Their respective abilities make them a good match-up against each other, but united, they'll be especially dangerous for Frank to take on without backup. Fortunately, the next issue teases that he'll have some unexpected help in confronting the unholy duo in the form of Elektra, assuming they don't tear each other apart before killing the zombies.
