Danny Dyer opened SNL UK with a rant about his royal relations, as he admitted 'people don't trust me on live TV' following his foul-mouthed attack on David Cameron.

The actor, 49, called the former prime minister a 'tw**' twice during a discussion about Cameron's role in the EU referendum while appearing live on Good Evening Britain in 2018.

Now, returning to live TV for an appearance on the sketch comedy variety show, he said: 'I'm here. I'm doing it. I'm hosting it. They've asked me. I don't know why... people don't usually trust me on live TV.

'I think it's because of classism and also that time I called David Cameron a t*** on live TV.

'But me and the producers, we've had a chat and they've made the rules for tonight very, very clear.

'I can do what I like, but there's a certain word I'm not allowed to say. It's a certain swear word.

'You know the one, it's the best one. It's OK, I can do it. You know what I mean? I can go 75 minutes cold turkey.'

His Rivals co-star Lisa McGrillis interrupted him from the audience, stood up and said: 'I do believe in you, but there's no chance you're going to be able to get through this show without saying that word.

'Do you remember when we were working on Rivals and you said that word about 30 times before you had your breakfast?'

Danny snapped: 'Shut your mouth, Lisa. I can do it, I'm telling you now.

'It's all good. I don't have to swear, I can do loads of other things. I can do accents. I never get to do accents, even though I'm good at them. I can do the whole of the UK. Right. All four corners, here we go.'

Danny then attempted a Northern Irish accent and a Scottish accent before stopping at a Welsh accent.

'No, I can't do Welsh, actually, and I won't do it,' he said.

'I shouldn't be swearing anyway because I'm related to royalty. I found out about it on Who Do You Think You Are?

'No, I was gutted. Who wants to be related to that little mob? You know what I mean? 

'Wasn't all bad, though. My grandad is Thomas Cromwell. You know, the geezer off of Wolf Hall.

'So this one's for you, Tommy boy. I hope you're up there having a Bacardi Breezer and getting a double nosh off Marilyn Monroe and Cilla Black.

'Imagine it. Honestly. Right, ladies and gentlemen, I want to get a little bit deep with you. Because it's Saturday night.

'You know what I mean? You've all had a beer. Other than me, I've had mushroom oil.'

He continued: 'Anyways, I just wanted to say this to you. Have a listen. Don't let your algorithms get the better of you.

'We can't control what other people think of us. All we can do is try and be the kindest, best versions of ourselves every single day.

'So just curb your ego, nourish your souls. And don't be a c...' before going silent without finishing the word.

Following his appearance, viewers took to X requesting that Danny becomes part of the main cast.

It comes after Danny went viral after he tore into Cameron over Brexit live on Good Evening Britain.

He said: 'Let's go back to this whole Brexit thing, when you're judging them because they don't know what Brexit is.

'Who know's about Brexit? No one has got a f***** clue. You watch Question Time, it's comedy.

'No one knows what it is. It's like this mad riddle that no one knows what it is.

'So what's happened to that t*** David Cameron who brought it on? Let's be fair. How comes he can scuttle off. He called all this on.

'Where is he? He's in Europe. He's in Nice with his trotters up. Where is the geezer? I think he should be held accountable for it.'

As Piers Morgan looked to Jeremy Corbyn for comment, Danny cut him off by shouting 't**t' again.

When Corbyn finally did get to respond to allegations politicians are being incompetent over Brexit he said: 'The Government who is meant to be negotiating spends its time negotiating with itself.

'That is the biggest problem.'

The former Labour leader confessed he is not watching Love Island and insisted he voted to remain in EU when quizzed on the issue.

He also admitted he watches EastEnders, saying Dyer is 'great' in the soap.
