Danny Dyer has admitted his obsession with his daughter Dani's fiancé Jarrod Bowen, as the father and daughter duo discussed plans for her upcoming wedding day.
Love Island star Dani, 28, and footballer, Jarrod, 27, got engaged in July, after the England player popped the question in Portugal.
Danny, 47, is loyal supporter of West Ham United, which Jarrod is the captain of, and has not been shy about showing his approval of his future-son-law.
Appearing on Heart Breakfast on Tuesday alongside Dani, the actor revealed that Jarrod had asked him for her hand in marriage before proposing.
Host Kelly Brook asked: 'Now Dani I’ve got to get personal now, you are engaged to Jared, did he ask your Dad’s permission to marry you?

Danny replied: 'Yeah, he called me up and everything and asked for her hand in marriage.'
Fellow host Jason King admitted he would be 'terrified' to have to ask the notorious 'hard man' for permission, but Danny explained: 'No, you’ve got to remember I’m obsessed with this man.
'There is nothing he can do wrong in my eyes. He scored the winning goal in a European final.'
Jason joked: 'Dani you did well there, you knew exactly what you were doing', causing Dani to quip: 'I feel like it was about time I give you a good one, ey?'
Her dad laughed and joked back: 'You really have, I was due one to be fair!'
Dani also discussed her plans for the big day, as Danny joked he would be getting hit by a 'very naughty bill', and she revealed that Jarrod was 'petrified of the whole thing'.
Jason questioned the pair about the possibility a daughter father dance, saying: 'I only found out today that a daughter father dance is something at a wedding. This was never a thing, it was always about the first dance between the couple but apparently there is a daughter dad dance, did you know about this?'
Dani replied: 'Yeah, apparently. I heard about this the other day, and someone mentioned it to me because I’ve got a few weddings next year, and they do a dad and daughter dance. That’s so special.'

A baffled Danny asked: 'What like a rehearsed thing?' as Dani confessed: 'Well, I’d love the rehearsal thing or is it a bit extra?'
As Danny admitted he though it was 'a bit odd', Dani went on: 'Some people do proper dirty dancing!' before quickly clarifying: 'Not me and you!'
Danny joked: 'I was going to say!' as Dani explained: 'No, you know the lift when they do the lift don’t they?'
Danny quipped: 'This is getting worse. What with you? Whacking you around my neck and all that?'
An exasperated Dani said: 'The iconic lift! You’ve seen Dirty Dancing, when she runs up to him and he puts her in the air.'
Danny responded: 'Yeah, but you shouldn’t be doing that with your father,' as Dani repeated: 'No not me and you but people do loads of choreography.'
Danny then suggested: 'I’d love to see you and Jarrod do that, that would be amazing. In his full West Ham kit!'
Dani laughed: 'Imagine Jarrod doing that!' as Jason quizzed: 'Would he be able to do that though? Because if he’s injured that’s not great.'
Dani and Jarrod have been dating since 2021 and share twin daughters Summer and Star, 17 months, while Dani also is mum to three-year-old son Santiago with ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence (pictured with kids)
During an appearance on MailOnline's podcast, Straight To The Comments! , Dani was probed about how she integrated the footballer into her famous family, recalling Jarrod's first meeting with Danny
Dani replied: 'He just wouldn’t, he’s so shy, isn’t he? He’s petrified of the whole thing, I don’t think he understand what goes into a wedding to be honest!'
Danny defended the footballer, saying: 'No, but I didn't and I'm generalising but I don't think most men do. We just turn up with the guests. It is about the woman. It's the woman's day, she deserves it.'
Dishing on more of the wedding plans, the Rivals star continued: 'We haven't discussed the dress yet. I mean I know it's coming and I'm going to get whacked with a very naughty bill.'
Dani jumped in to say: 'No you said you were going to do the bar bill,' as a disgruntled Danny asked: 'What so I do the bar bill and the dress?'
Dani replied: 'No, but the dress I'll get you a real good discount I reckon. And we won't do doubles and we don't do tequila, like any shots.
But Danny firmly disagreed, saying: 'Oh no you gotta let people get off their nut darling, it's a wedding!'

Giving his side of his first meeting with Jarrod at a family gathering for Bonfire Night, Danny admitted he knew instantly that it was 'true love' between the pair
She revealed: 'It was fine! He sort of knew of Jarrod anyway because Jarrod plays for a team that he supports. So, my dad supports West Ham.'
Asked if it would have been a problem if Jarrod played for West Ham's rival Millwall, Dani insisted: 'No! I don’t know, he wouldn’t care.
'Listen, people always say "oh, I bet your dad loves that because you’re dating someone from West Ham", but he could be a total a***hole, do you know what I mean? And he’s not, so I think that was just a bonus. The West Ham thing was a bonus.'

He told TalkSport: 'What do you say to him? I wanted to take his shoes off for him, put his feet up on the settee, give him a nice massage. But you don't wanna go in too strong!
'All I wanna see, like any father, is my daughter in love and when they're not with the right person , they're not the same. There's something not right.
'And she was my Dani in front of him. That's love. He gets her and it's a beautiful thing Maybe I encouraged it a little bit too much but it's true love with them two.'
After the pair announced their engagement in the summer, Danny was quick to comment, gushing: 'The most beautiful couple in the world. Right….better start writing that speech. Love you both so much.'
Last month, he revealed that he and his family 'stepped up' to help Dani with raising her three children, while Jarrod was away at the Euros (Dani and Danny pictured at Euros final)
Danny explained how he and his wife Joanne Mas, 47, help with babysitting duties on top of being parents to their children Sunnie, 17, and son Arty, 10

He told The Sunday Times Style Magazine: 'Jarrod's a great dad but he's very busy. He was away all over the summer and Dani was flying back and forth.
'It's difficult to juggle that and the children, so we've come to the front as a family, as you do. We're just trying to bring up decent human beings.'
