EXCLUSIVE: Dane DeHaan (American Primeval, Neuromancer), Atticus Mitchell (Fargo, Star Trek), Ayo Solanke (Bet, Clown in a Cornfield), and Elizabeth Perkins (Big, A Simple Favor) have joined the recurring cast of the FX series Cry Wolf. The show is created by Sarah Treem and is inspired by the Danish series Ulven Kommer, created by Maja Jul Larsen.

They join the previously announced cast of Olivia Colman, Brie Larson, Shawn Hatosy, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Jack Greig, and William Jackson Harper.

Cry Wolf is a psychological family thriller following a social worker, Kath (Colman), and a mother, April (Larson), thrust into crisis when the mother’s teenage daughter, Mia (Lind), alleges abuse, pushing both women to their limits as they navigate an impossible situation.

Hatosy plays April’s husband and Mia’s stepfather, who is at the center of the girl’s abuse allegations. Greig plays April’s son. Harper will play Arthur, Kath’s supervisor at Child Protective Services.

Mitchell will play Nick, who is rough around the edges with a good heart. After a difficult childhood raised by his single mother, Kath (Colman), Nick fell into severe alcoholism but has now been sober for 11 months. Determined to rebuild his life, he’s trying to reconnect with his son, Elliot, after years of being unable to handle the responsibilities of fatherhood. Now that he’s sober, Nick is doing everything he can to prove himself to Kath and regain custody of Elliot- but she refuses to believe he’s truly changed.

In addition to Treem, Colman, and Larson, executive producers also include Kim Todd, Rodrigo Garcia, Melissa Bernstein, Ed Sinclair, Alena Smith, Maja Jul Larsen, Christian Rank and Claudia Saganario. Cry Wolf is produced by FX Productions.

DeHaan currently appears in Peter Berg’s Netflix limited series American Primeval and the HBO Max drama, The Staircase. He will next appear in Apple TV+’s Neuromancer and the independent films The Queen of Fashion and Wardriver. DeHaan recently was in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer as well as Dumb Money. Mitchell most recently recurred on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for CBS, Transplant for NBC, the Hulu series The Hardy Boys, and Hell Motel for AMC Studios and Shudder. He is repped by  GGA and Zero Gravity Management.

Solanke is a British-Canadian actor who currently stars in Netflix’s live-action Kakegurui series Bet, which was recently renewed for a second season. He also features in Eli Craig’s horror-comedy Clown in a Cornfield. Solanke is repped by Paradigm and Play Management.
