EXCLUSIVE: Dane Cook (Good Luck Chuck) and Hana Mae Lee (The Babysitter: Killer Queen) are leading dark comedy thriller Boris Is Dead, which is in post-production.
Helmed by James Cullen Bressack (Darkness of Man), the film follows a struggling actor, working as a waiter (Cook) who unwittingly becomes involved in a violent heist gone wrong, where his boss – deep in debt – has been stealing from employees and running the restaurant as a front for the mob.
Pic is produced by Sasha Yelaun (The Old Way) and Henry Penzi (Hellfire). Executive producers include Dane Cook and Darryl Quarles (Big Momma’s Franchise).
Bressack’s recent features include Darkness of Man starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Hot Seat starring Kevin Dillon and Mel Gibson.
Stand-up and actor Cook is wrapping his Fresh New Flavor tour of more than 30 cities. He is well known for multiple hit comedy specials and tours as well as films such as Good Luck Chuck, My Best Friend’s Girl and Dan In Real Life.
Actress, singer and model Lee is known for movies such as Pitch Perfect and The Babysitter franchise as well as series including Patriot and Those Who Can’t.
