Adam Blevins began working in the entertainment industry in 2022 as a Staff Writer for Agents of Fandom, where he progressed to Senior Editor and interviewed talent from Marvel Studios, House of the Dragon, and Planet of the Apes. He joined Collider as a News Author in April 2024, was promoted to a Senior position in December 2024, and has written over 3,000 articles for the site, including exclusives relating to Avengers: Doomsday, The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. He primarily writes about the latest box office numbers and the hottest movies and TV shows on streaming, while also covering superhero and sci-fi news. He has completed a set visit for The Chosen and even has several months of experience writing Gaming Features at ScreenRant. You can find him on X, LinkedIn, and Muckrack.

Dan Levy is a four-time Emmy nominee for his work on Schitt’s Creek, the hit sitcom in which he stars alongside the late Catherine O’Hara. Just a few years ago, he also starred in the Netflix original movie Good Grief, which also features Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Luke Evans, and more. Levy is always looking for his next big breakout project, and when you’re as talented as he is, you usually don’t have to look far. He’s next set to lead Big Mistakes, a new Netflix series co-starring Taylor Ortega, Laurie Metcalf, Abby Quinn, Brian Kuzum, Jack Innanen, Elizabeth Perkins, Mark Ivanir, Ilia Volok, Jacob Gutierrez, Joe Barbara, and Darren Goldstein.

Today, as part of an elaborate marketing campaign featuring a staged necklace heist in LA, Netflix officially announced Levy’s Big Mistakes, which included releasing the first trailer and images from the series. The streamer has also released an official synopsis for the show, which reads as follows:

“From Emmy award-winning Dan Levy comes a bold, new comedic family saga set within a high-stakes crime thriller. Big Mistakes follows Nick (Levy) and Morgan (Ortega), two deeply incapable siblings who are in over their heads when a misguided theft for their dying grandmother accidentally pulls them into the world of organized crime. Blackmailed into increasingly dangerous assignments, they clumsily fail upwards, sinking deeper into chaos they’re ill-equipped to deal with.”

In addition to starring in the new Netflix comedy crime thriller, Levy is also the creator and producer of the show, along with Rachel Sennott. The show will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, all of which will premiere on the platform on April 9. The future of the show beyond Season 1 has yet to be decided.

What Else Is Streaming on Netflix Right Now?

Netflix has a host of great movies and TV shows to watch while you wait for Dan Levy’s new series to begin streaming. At the top of streaming watchlists on the TV side is the latest season of One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the long-running animated series. It’s followed closely behind on streaming charts by the fourth season of Bridgerton. Alan Ritchson’s new big-budget sci-fi movie, War Machine, is also having a record-breaking first week for Netflix after scoring over 39 million views during its first three days on the platform.
