Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly's unlikely new romance heats up as actress visits rapper at LA studio... amid 'insane chemistry'

Dakota Johnson looked more than happy to see what her new man does best as she joined Machine Gun Kelly at a studio amid their red hot romance as insiders recently opened up about their 'insane chemistry.'

The 37-year-old actress had a massive smile on her face as she headed into a Los Angeles recording studio with the 36-year-old pop punk rapper - born Colson Baker - on Tuesday night.

Johnson dressed comfortably for what could have been a long studio session as she sported a black hoodie from Free & Easy which featured a graphic on the back of an arrow through a heart with 'don't trip' emblazoned over it.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star also donned a pair of relaxed fit light blue jeans along with black leather boots as she carried along a large leopard-patterned tote bag.

Her signature raven-colored locks were put up in a messy bun as she showcased her natural looks by going make-up free.

MGK showed off his edgelord style as he sported a bright orange jacket with graphic bullet holes all over it from Jeremy Scott's fall/winter 2011 collaboration with Adidas along with jeans, a studded black leather belt, black boots, and orange Cleveland Browns hat.

Though the two have sparked what is seen as an unlikely romance, they seem inseparable as they have been spotted on multiple outings together in the last few weeks. 

The stars fueled dating rumors when they both stopped by friend Taylor Swift's apartment in New York City in September.

The Verity actress had arrived at the residence solo, with MGK showing up 30 minutes later. 

According to gossip site DeuxMoi, the rapper had been escorted by Johnson's security guard. 

After spending several hours inside Swift's apartment, the twosome went to a hotel nearby and stayed overnight, per the outlet. 

TMZ reported that Swift was out of town while her friends spent time at her apartment.

The actress and hitmaker are believed to have first crossed paths while attending Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce in July.  

One month earlier, Johnson had reportedly split from the music artist Role Model after an eight-month relationship. 

MGK was previously in a yearslong relationship with ex-girlfriend Megan Fox and they share 19-month-old daughter Saga. 

He is also dad to 17-year-old daughter Casie, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon. 

In a September interview with Vogue, Johnson opened up about knowing a lot of musicians.

'They like me. I don't know what to say. And I like them,' the star said coyly.

Asked what's not to like about them, she answered: 'A lot! A lot. Tricky motherf***ers.'

Elsewhere in the profile, Johnson revealed that she 'really' wants to have children.

'I didn't expect to be this age and at this place in my life, but for whatever reason, that's the plan of the universe. So I would love that. I hope that that happens for me,' she divulged.

The entertainer continued, 'I've always felt, especially the last few years, that there is a soul that wants to come through. And I hope that I'm lucky enough to be able to do that.'

MGK's daughter Saga turned one on March 27, and on April 1 he used Instagram to pay tribute to the little girl.

The doting father shared a slew of photos with his 9.2 million followers and simply wrote, '1,' in the caption, along with cupcake and burning heart emojis.

He and ex-fiancé Fox have opted to keep their daughter's face private.

In August 2025 the rock star heaped praise on the Jennifer's Body actress for caring for Saga.

While appearing on the Today show when she was four months old, he told host Jenna Bush Hager, 'I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work.'

He joked, 'I keep getting called 'the music teacher,'' before sharing, 'Someone the other day was like, 'You're such a good dad!' just because I was holding the baby.

'And [Megan] was fuming, like, 'No, no, no, no.' She's the one. I just play the guitar and pray that the baby is happy.'
