Seven months after the dismembered body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the trunk of his impounded Tesla, singer David Anthony Burke has been arrested.
Los Angeles Police Department said the artist known as D4vd, 21, is being held without bail after Hernandez’s remains were found on Sept. 8 in the front trunk of the vehicle registered to Burke, which had been parked in the Hollywood Hills for weeks before it was towed. CNS reported that Burke’s case will be presented before the DA’s office on Monday.
Hernandez’s mother, based in Lake Elsinore, previously reported her daughter missing in 2024, noting she had a boyfriend named David, with whom she was last seen going to a movie. Burke also has a “shhh” tattoo on his finger matching Hernandez.
The Tesla was found abandoned on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in Los Angeles, not far from the home rented by Burke.
Previous reports suggest that Burke may have had help from another person in dismembering Hernandez’s body.
