Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Whether or not Cyberpunk 2077 should have featured a multiplayer mode still remains an area of contention for fans, with the majority happy to be able to hit the streets of Night City and experience a single-player RPG experience, whilst others wish for a way to cause chaos with friends. Although CD Projekt RED has always been proud to call Cyberpunk 2077 a single-player game, some of the title's ever-growing community have taken matters into their own hands by creating their very own multiplayer modes.

That is the case for CyberMP over on YouTube, who showcased what a multiplayer 2v2 deathmatch could look like in Cyberpunk 2077.

In a video shared to CyberMP's YouTube channel, we can see a sneak peek at their project which includes adding a 2v2 deathmatch with real players to Cyberpunk 2077. In the video, we can see player in first-person hunting down other beloved Cyberpunk 2077 characters such as Judy in a deathmatch environment. Much like many FPS games, you can expect to hunt each other down in a series of Night City-inspired maps, and, of course, rack up that kill count as you kill or be killed.

As the project was very much in the early stages of development at this time, the animations are not polished, but there is no denying that there was promise here, especially as it would have allowed friends to team up together in Night City for the first time. As such, viewers took to the comments to share their thoughts on the showcase.

"Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer, the dream," one user shared. "Just imagine how cool that would be on an RP server." Another user had high praise for the project, adding, "This is wild. I can't even begin to guess what's going on under the hood. It takes some brains to go "this game has absolutely no internal framework for multiplayer at all. But like what if I made it have that?" and for it to F**KING WORK. Genuinely wild; really impressive. I look forward to the future of the project!"

Cyberpunk 2077 Modders Are Doing Awesome Work

This mod is just another example of the dedicated Cyberpunk 2077 modding community, who have released thousands of mods for the hit CD Projekt RED RPG since its launch back in 2020. From mods that add brand-new, and happy, endings to ones that add a whopping 45+ locations to explore across Night City, there is something for everyone, and that is not all. You can also experience three new modes, add survival mechanics to the game, or even choose a new life-path. The options really are endless, and give just another excuse to start yet another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077.
