Xbox has announced the latest batch of removals from Game Pass. On Sept. 15, 10 games will leave the service. The biggest name on the list is Cyberpunk 2077; CD Projekt Red's once floundering and now flourishing sci-fi RPG.

Cyberpunk 2077 was added in March, so it will have been on the service for only six months. Just last month, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was also removed from Game Pass, perhaps to incentivize players to purchase the upcoming remaster on Sept. 29. As for Cyberpunk 2077, the sequel is a long way off, but a second season of the acclaimed Edgerunners anime is set to be released on Oct. 20 exclusively on Netflix. That will likely boost interest in the game, which CD Projekt Red will want to capitalize on.

There are nine other games leaving Game Pass on Sept. 15 alongside Cyberpunk 2077. Here's the full list:

  • Commandos: Origins (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Cricket 24 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Cyberpunk 2077 (Cloud and Console)
  • Dead Cells (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Deep Rock Galactic Survivor (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Frostpunk 2 (PC)
  • Mullet Madjack (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Spiritfarer (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Superliminal (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Train Sim World 5 (Cloud, Console, and PC)

The roguelike Metroidvania Dead Cells is another big loss for the service. The 2018 title remains one of the best entries in the popular genre. Fans of Dead Cells will want to keep an eye on developer Evil Empire's next title, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, which will be released on Oct. 15. Spiritfarer, a deeply emotional indie about ferrying the recently deceased to the afterlife, is also worth experiencing before it leaves the service.

As for additions, Game Pass is only getting seven new titles. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War joins the service on Sept. 8. The other additions are Shelldiver, Speedrunners 2: King of Speed, The Royal Writ, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
