Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.
Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.
If you've never tried out Cyberpunk 2077 before, now is the perfect time for you to dive into Night City. A free download of the game will be available for millions this month.
First launched back in 2020 in a somewhat questionable state, it has now gone on to become one of the greatest video games of all time, and with heaps of content under its belt, now is the perfect time to dive in to a neon-soaked dystopian future.
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Free With Game Pass This Month
Yesterday saw Microsoft announce the next batch of games heading to the Xbox Game Pass library, and alongside some beloved titles such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Final Fantasy III, EA Sports F1 25, and more, there is one hit RPG up for grabs that you do not want to miss out on this time around.
I am, of course, talking about Cyberpunk 2077, which will be heading to Game Pass Ultimate and Premium on 10 March on both Cloud and console.
Become V, a cyberpunk-for-hire, and do what it takes to make a name for yourself in the dark future of Night City. But when a once-in-a-lifetime heist to steal an experimental prototype goes wrong, the trajectory of your life changes forever.
Developed by CD Projekt RED, Cyberpunk 2077 recently celebrated its five-year anniversary. Not only did this see fans celebrate the impressive milestone, but it also served as a reminder of how far the RPG has come. Back in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 was in such a state at launch, thanks to bugs, glitches, and crashes, that it was eventually pulled from online storefronts until all problems were remedied. However, when it did return, it was back with a vengeance, and thanks to CDPR's tireless work, and the arrival of its Phantom Liberty DLC in 2023, Cyberpunk 2077 has never looked better.
Newcomers Are Ready To Give Night City A Try
Understandably, some players have been hesitant to check out Cyberpunk 2077 following its controversial launch, but as a hardcore fan, I think that now is the perfect time to get stuck in. With How Long To Beat claiming that the RPG has over 60 hours of content to enjoy, this is the perfect time sink, and as with every RPG, you can truly make the story your own. Whether you choose to play as male or female V, you will embark on a journey unlike any other in the bowels of Night City. It is here that you can choose who you romance, customize your character, take part in heists, and meet all manner of wonderful characters. With a heart-pounding story to boot, Cyberpunk 2077 really does have everything you could ever want from a standout RPG, and luckily, it will be free to play for Xbox users from 10 March onward courtesy of Game Pass.
