Cruz Beckham sent fans into a frenzy as he teased a collaboration with the Spice Girls on Instagram on Wednesday - but all was not what it seemed.
The singer, 21, merged a snap of himself posing with his band The Breakers alongside the iconic girlband back in the nineties.
Making it look like album artwork, Cruz told followers the reunion they had all been waiting for was 'finally happening' with the song 'waste your pain'.
Even Cruz's mother Victoria aka Posh Spice commented: 'I'm warming up!'
Cruz captioned the post: 'it’s finally happening!!! we have delayed the release of waste your pain slightly, as the girls have now agreed to be a part of this song @spicegirls'.
However, sadly for fans they worked out he was playing an April Fools' prank on them.
