Prime Video's upcoming Cross TV show, inspired by James Patterson's best-selling 32-book series, hit New York Comic Con on Friday to drop a new clip for fans to behold. There's less than a month until the show's premiere, and by all accounts, it looks like Jack Reacher will finally get some worthy company. All episodes of Cross season 1 will debut on Nov. 14.
In the series, Aldis Hodge stars as the forensic psychologist and former FBI agent who is brought back into the field to help hunt down a serial killer. In the clip below, Hodge's Cross has a suspect cornered and uses his unique detective skills to deliver the cool hand of justice.
Previously, Morgan Freeman played Alex Cross in two big-screen adaptations of Patterson's books, Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. In 2012, Tyler Perry took on the role in the movie titled Alex Cross. Entertainment Weekly reported that while Cross will be an adaptation of Patterson's iconic character, the new series will not pull directly from any of the author's published books.
Starring alongside Hodge, who also serves as executive producer of the series as well as James Patterson, are Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold.
