Country singer Ella Langley brutally shuts down fan who asked her out... amid rumors of Tucker Wetmore romance

Country singer Ella Langley wasn't flattered in the least when a TikTok influencer named Tiki asked her out after her concert in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Thursday night.

The 27-year-old newcomer, whose hit song Choosin' Texas has surpassed Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas on the Billboard charts, went viral for bluntly rejecting the fan, who made his romantic overtures known by yelling through a parking lot fence, as seen in a video posted to his TikTok account.

'Ella, how many likes to take you on a date?' Tiki wanted to know.

The brunette, who was surrounded by members of her band on the other side of the fence, looked startled at first before answering.

'Not enough in the world,' she told him before looking away and shaking her head in apparent disbelief at his nerve.

‘Ahhh,' Tiki could be heard sighing.

But he took it like a pro and, turning to the camera, said: 'You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take.'

He was, of course, repeating a famous quote by hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.

Fans were divided, with some feeling her reply was too harsh.

'This rubbed me the wrong way. And I like her,' one fan wrote.

'Literally what is her problem?' another wanted to know.

'She could have laughed and said no in a whole different way,' a third ventured to say.

Others argued she had every right to put up a virtual wall after being yelled at in public and through a fence no less.

'Being screamed at 24/7 would get irritating,' one supporter wrote, while another clapped back in Langley's defense: 'There's no way yall are mad at her for reacting negatively to a kid screaming at her asking to take her on a date in front of her team??? Yall gotta go outside.'

Another chimed in: 'This made me like her even more. Its not her job to be nice to random men. She set her boundary, respect it.'

Yet another defender added to the mix: 'She doesn't have to go on a date with a random guy just because he asked.. are y'all okay???'

Amid the back-and-forth, Langley explained her terse response to Tiki's over-eager proposition in the comments.

'It was meant to come off as dark humor. You said that and it got quiet and I got nervous,' she wrote.

Tiki wouldn't have stood a chance anyway, as Langley appears to have another fellow.

Langley is reportedly dating country singer Tucker Wetmore, 26, per E! News.

They first sparked romance rumors nearly a year ago.

Neither has commented on their relationship status, but they were photographed subtly leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together through a side door at the Ryman Auditorium on September 22.

They've been spotted together on other occasions in the last few months.

Last December, Langley and Wetmore appeared to be more than just friends when they were spotted together at the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands and looking cozy.

And the pair appeared to be giving each other warm looks while performing a duet of his song Sunburn at the Heart Strings for Hope event on March 10, according to the outlet.

Langley is a breakout star in the world of country music, having transitioned from newcomer to record-breaking chart-topper.

After years of playing local bars and festivals in Alabama, she moved to Nashville in 2019 to write songs and build her name.

She achieved success with her mega-hit Choosin’ Texas, which topped the Billboard charts this year.
