Quantitative trading firm Hudson River Trading has tapped CoreWeave to power its next phase of AI-driven trading research in a multiyear deal described by CoreWeave as being worth billions of dollars.
Under the agreement announced on Aug. 20, HRT will run workloads on CoreWeave’s AI cloud using NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 and HGX B200 GPU systems.
The setup will provide HRT with high-performance computing, dedicated Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and direct technical support, allowing researchers to handle larger datasets and more complex models while maintaining low-latency connections to the firm’s on-premises infrastructure.
The partnership comes amid growing demand for AI infrastructure among financial firms, with HRT seeking to train increasingly complex models and iterate more quickly as AI becomes more central to quantitative trading.
