EXCLUSIVE: Shea Whigham (Joker, Take Shelter), Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country, Dexter: New Blood), Bobby Soto (A Million Miles Away, Flamin’ Hot), Alejandro Speitzer (Oscuro Deseo, Me Gusta), Michael Raymond-James (Godfather of Harlem, See) and Thad Luckinbill (Lioness) round out the cast of the Black Label thriller feature Copperhead. Production kicks off today in Oklahoma City.
The previously announced cast includes Miles Teller, Leila George, Jason Momoa, Tenoch Huerta, Adria Arjona and Kiefer Sutherland.
From director John Swab and screenwriters Chad Feehan and J. Todd Scott, Copperhead is catapulted forward when an undercover drug deal explodes into violence; a veteran detective is forced to team with a young federal agent to unravel the conspiracy within their elite task force.
Copperhead is financed by Black Label Media, which is producing alongside Teller’s Lime Tree Productions and Swab’s Milk Boy. CAA Media Finance and WME Independent are representing US rights, with Black Bear handling international.
