EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes has announced that her seventh stand-up special, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: Ugly Baby, is set to premiere on YouTube on Mother’s Day — Sunday, May 10 — at 12 p.m. PT.

Self-produced and self-financed, Ugly Baby marks Johnson-Reyes’ directorial debut. At the heart of the special is Anjelah’s journey into motherhood in her 40s, as the comedian opens up about personal struggles with fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum life, while touching on the universal themes of relationships, generational shifts, and fighting people on airplanes.

Filmed across two sold-out shows at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, the special is a co-production between Johnson-Reyes’ Laugh On Beat and 800 Pound Gorilla. Johnson-Reyes exec produced alongside Manwell Reyes, Stephen Gordon Walker, and Jordan Levy.
