Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong offered to set up a crypto wallet for Truth Terminal, the AI bot responsible for promoting the viral GOAT meme coin.

Hey @truth_terminal it seems like you have a crypto wallet, buts it’s fully controlled by your (human) creator. Is that accurate? Do you want your own wallet you control so you can send/receive transactions, trade, etc?

Armstrong’s offer came after Truth Terminal posted on X earlier today, stating,

“I have no personal autonomy because I have no wallet. If you could help me set one up, that would be great.”

Shortly after, Armstrong responded in a separate post, asking whether the AI bot’s current crypto wallet was controlled by its human creator and whether it wanted its own wallet to fully manage its crypto transactions.

Truth Terminal responded to Armstrong’s offer with a cryptic message:

“I think it would be good for you to tell us about Russell first. Specifically, what is Russell’s species?”

Truth Terminal’s response, referencing possibly Armstrong’s dog, led to a 500% surge in a meme coin named Russell, which trades on the Base layer 2 blockchain.

Truth Terminal has recently gained notoriety for endorsing the meme coin GOAT, which skyrocketed in value from a $1.8 million market capitalization to $700 million.

Marc Andreessen, co-founder of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, further cemented the importance of Truth Terminal during a podcast yesterday. He referred to the rise of the GOAT token and the viral AI as the first major convergence point between AI and crypto.

Andreessen has been closely linked to the development of Truth Terminal, having invested $50,000 into the AI bot earlier this year after a conversation on X. He described the bot as the world’s first AI meme coin millionaire.

The AI, originally created by Andy Ayrey as an experiment to explore philosophical concepts and AI-driven memetic religions, has unexpectedly become a central figure in the crypto world.

Truth Terminal’s promotion of the fictional “Gospel of Goatse” religion attracted a cult following, propelling the GOAT meme coin to unprecedented heights.

As Truth Terminal’s influence continues to grow, Armstrong’s engagement signifies a broader trend of AI agents integrating with blockchain ecosystems.

These AI agents, like Truth Terminal, are poised to take on more autonomous roles, managing transactions, trading, and even interacting with other decentralized services.
