Clearpool has rolled out a redesigned version of its decentralized application. The new interface includes a dedicated swap tool that lets holders convert their CPOOL tokens into a new token called CLEAR at a 1:1 ratio.
The tool went live on October 5, 2026, at clearpool.finance/swap. It arrives three days after the protocol’s community voted to approve a broader strategic shift.
What changed and what holders get
The migration follows a Snapshot governance vote held on October 2, 2026. According to the research findings, 97.16% of participants backed both the expansion to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and the token migration.
The token economics are shifting along with the ticker. CLEAR will launch with a supply of 1.125 billion tokens, up from the 1 billion CPOOL tokens that existed before.
Of that new supply, 70% is set to go to existing CPOOL holders through the 1:1 conversion.
There is also a new value-return mechanism. Clearpool plans to direct 50% of protocol fees toward buying CLEAR on the open market and burning it.
Implementation of the broader plan is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The research findings note that comprehensive details are expected to be disclosed later.
The XRP Ledger pivot
The token swap is the visible piece of a larger strategic move. Clearpool is pivoting toward institutional lending products on the XRP Ledger.
Those loans are set to be settled in RLUSD, the stablecoin issued by Ripple.
Clearpool is executing the initiative alongside several partners. Ripple is involved, as is Cicada Partners, while Hex Trust is handling custody services.
The protocol is not a newcomer. Clearpool launched on Ethereum in 2021 and has originated nearly $1 billion in loans since then.
Why the rebrand and migration matter
For existing holders, the immediate question is practical. The 1:1 swap preserves their token count, but the supply increase to 1.125 billion means each token represents a slightly smaller share of the total than before.
Holders and observers should watch a few things over the coming months. The first is the remaining 30% of CLEAR supply, since how those tokens are allocated and released will shape the token’s dilution profile.
The second is the timeline. The plan is scheduled for Q4 2026, and further details are expected, so the specifics of the XRPL lending launch will clarify how quickly the new business can generate fees.
The third is participation in the swap itself. Migrations depend on holders actually showing up to convert, and a new dApp design with a dedicated swap page is clearly meant to make that step as frictionless as possible.
