Clara McGregor shares snaps from her 30th celebrations with her mother and father - after she made up with dad Ewan and his wife Mary

Clara McGregor posted an insight into her 30th birthday which she celebrated with her mother and father after patching up her feud with her dad Ewan.

The daughter of Ewan and his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis previously publicly branded his new wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead a 'piece of trash' during a fallout with the couple.

Clara made her dislike for their relationship known when their relationship came to light, after meeting while filming the third series of the TV series, Fargo.

Both parties announced their respective divorces in May 2017, before they were snapped looking cosy and kissing the following October.

However despite Clara's statements about their relationship, it all appears to be water under the bridge now and she has seemingly repaired her relationship with Ewan and Mary, after admitting she regretted her public outburst.

This was suggested in the smiley snaps she posted of herself with her parents at her birthday over the weekend, after turning 30 on February 4.

Clara posted a beaming selfie with her arm wrapped around her father Ewan at her birthday party, where she sported a pretty lace mini dress and heels.

Clara also posted a picture having dinner with her mother Eve, 59, to celebrate her milestone. She did not mention if she also attended the party.

The bash looked like a rowdy affair with Clara and her loved ones boogying the night away on a colourful, back lit dance floor.

Other snaps reveal she was given a slice of pie with a candle and also a slice of cake, iced with the words 'Happy Birthday Clara'.

It is not clear whether Ewan's wife Mary, who he shares his youngest child, Laurie, five, with was in attendance at Clara's party.

While Clara and her father appeared to have long resolved their issues now, she did initially side with her mother following their split.

In 2018, Clara admitted she regretted branding her father's new girlfriend at the time a 'piece of trash'.

In July earlier that year, the production designer posted the scathing comment under an image of her father's girlfriend on an Instagram fan page dedicated to the star.

However, Clara remorsefully said that while it 'wasn't the most mature way to go about things', she kept seeing criticism towards her mother Eve after she was continuously tagged in the picture of Mary.

In a candid interview with Barbara McMahon in The Times, Clara admitted she was 'angry and upset' at the situation.

'There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with, not to make excuses or anything, but, yeah, it wasn’t my finest moment. But I’m not afraid to speak out if I feel strongly about something,' she admitted.

Clara ensured to detail the situation in depth: 'I kept being tagged in this photograph and I was seeing negative things about my mum.

'I said how I felt and I didn’t want to apologise for it. It wasn’t the right way to go about things, but it’s a hard thing to wrap your head around when you feel you had this idea of what the family unit is and then to have that shift. It’s very weird.'

Touching upon the day the surprising picture emerged of Ewan kissing Mary, Clara admitted that she already knew about the demise of his marriage to her mother, Eve Mavrakis.

Clara confessed: 'The picture surfaced on my little sister’s birthday, but my dad didn’t know it was going to come out. He didn’t want us to see that, but, you know, there were paparazzi following them around.

Despite their recent family drama, Clara has insisted that she is 'close with her dad.'

She revealed: 'I love him and I always will. The relationship’s not going to end because of this.

'We are incredibly close and despite me strongly disagreeing with how he’s gone about things, I’ll always love him, and I hope he’s happy, you know?

'I wish them all the best, but I’m staying out of that, for sure,' she concluded. 

Clara had previously taken to the comments section of an image from a fan page for the Fargo star, to lash out at the page administrators for calling Mary beautiful.

A seemingly enraged Clara hit out in the comments section, as she penned: 'Most beautiful and talented woman on earth? (laughing faces) Oh man y'all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash (smiley face) x'.

Ewan controversially filed for divorce from Eve in March 2018 – six months after being spotted kissing Mary. 

Ewan and Mary have gone from strength to strength ever since and jokingly called for more films they could be in together during a recent public appearance

'I love to work with you so much. I've been lucky enough to do it three times, and I want to do it more and more,' Ewan told his wife from the stage.

'Mary and I are now here in Scotland, so to save us the pain of having to be apart, maybe you could come up with lots of Scottish films that we can be in together.'

The couple first met on the set of the FX series Fargo in 2016, when they both joined the cast for season three, playing each other's love interests.

At the time of the shoot, the actor was still married to Eve Mavrakis, with whom he shares four daughters, and Mary Elizabeth was married to Riley Stearns.

But eventually, both of their marriages ended and the co-stars began dating soon afterwards.

They worked with each other again on the 2020 superhero film Birds Of Prey and the 2024 historical drama series A Gentleman in Moscow.

The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Laurie in June 2021, after nearly four years of dating and tied the knot during a private backyard ceremony in LA in April 2022.
