Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 needs little introduction, especially after it dominated at the Game Awards back in 2025. Naturally, after garnering such high praise from fans and critics alike, many have begun speculating when the next game in the series (should it indeed become one) is set to release. Fortunately, since the original launch of Clair Obscur, developer Sandfall Interactive has done its best to deliver new content and projects to appease fans, and it has definitely worked for the most part.
We've had brand-new Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 updates, merchandise, and a plethora of rampant speculation and rumors regarding a potential sequel. However, while it has all been rather spectacular, and certainly plenty of fun for fans, the latest Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 project is sure to be its best, albeit perhaps the most inaccessible. Designed to please hardcore fans, Clair Obscur: Arm of Gustave is a brand-new release set to launch in 2027 that fans will want to keep their eye on.
Clair Obscur: Arm of Gustave is the latest piece of merchandise fans can pick up. Previously, we've seen the release of deluxe vinyls with the game's soundtrack, an art book, and even figures of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's best characters. However, this item of merch is by far the game's most detailed, most impressive, and, ultimately, most expensive. Arm of Gustave is absolutely intended for hardcore collectors and those with a huge passion for the 2025 Game of the Year winner, as it costs nearly as much as a PS5.
Clair Obscur: Arm of Gustave is a life-size replica of Gustave's mechanical arm, coming in at 19 inches long, produced by Purearts. It is an impressive collector's item, made of premium polyresin with a marble finish and featuring gold accents. It even comes mounted on a rock base covered in flowers, and has rotating combination cylinders as seen in the game. It makes sense to devote so much love and attention to this limited edition item, especially considering the relevance the arm has in the game and its role in a pivotal and extremely somber moment in Maelle's character arc.
The arm will set prospective buyers back $429, which is no small fee. This is a limited edition item, with each arm coming with a unique numbered plate on the bottom, so it is bound to sell out pretty quickly. However, that should never be a reason to impulse buy anything, even if it is a very cool piece of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 merchandise. For those who have considered their purchase, Clair Obscur: Arm of Gustave is available for pre-order now on the official Purearts website, with the shipping date scheduled for Q3 2027.
Of course, this isn't quite the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 follow-up game news that many were likely hoping for, but it is a rather impressive item of merchandise that perfectly celebrates the one-year anniversary of the game. Developers have certainly gotten bolder with their unique merch, with Cyberpunk 2077's developer, CD Projekt Red, for example, even selling replica katanas. However, for those not interested in picking up a near $500 replica mechanical arm, there is sure to be more Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 merch and announcements in the coming months and years.
