Ciara Shows Support to Husband Russell Wilson After He's Benched by Giants
Ciara and Russell Wilson are about to witness an impressive level up.
After all, the couple’s eldest kids Future Zahir and Sienna Princess offered a look into their career goals during their latest family outing. And so far, Future Zahir’s recent visit to the University of Texas has him looking at his dad’s NFL quarterback career a little more closely.
“I’d be really happy going there in the future,” the 11-year-old told E! News in an interview alongside his family at the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s 89th Annual Gala March 24. “I had a really good time going there with my dad. It was just a really good experience for me and him.”
Indeed, the father-son duo toured the college’s athletic department earlier this month, and he posted a few highlights from the trip on Instagram. In the March 14 video, the two visited UT’s sprawling football field and batting cages, excitedly throwing up their “Hook ’em, Horns” symbol.
True to Russell’s supportive nature, he noted Future Zahir—who Ciara, 40, shares with ex-fiancé Future—could have “a bright future” ahead of him at UT, no matter what sport he pursues.
“I think the cool part with sports nowadays is that kids get recruited and looked at early,” the 37-year-old explained to E! “So, to be able to take him to a school where he would dream about playing? He’s so talented. He’s so good at basketball, football, and baseball.”
And that prowess runs in the family, as the New York Giants quarterback—also dad to kids Win Harrison, 5, and Amora Princess, 2, with the “Goodies” singer—revealed Sienna is also “amazingly talented” across the board.
But similar to her older brother, the 8-year-old is also focused on landing a few touchdowns.
“If they make a football team for the girls, I’d do that,” she emphasized. “If they make one, which they should. I want to play tackle ball.”

And Ciara made clear she’ll be cheering on Sienna from the sidelines.
“She’s such a little athlete like me, but she’s also a sassafras,” she joked. “She loves playing flag football. She’s really tough, but I love that because you think about the world of women in sports. I love that, at such a young age, she’s so fearless and believes in herself. So why not girls, baby!”
Indeed, the “1,2 Step” star is eager to see Sienna display her gallant personality, as she’s been teaching her daughters to never stifle their voice.
“Individuality has always been an underlying theme of how my parents and grandparents have navigated throughout life,” Ciara told Parents last March. “My level of independence, the spirit of individuality, confidence, and just doing what I believe in, despite what others think, is a bit of an innate thing.”
