Chuck Norris's twins broke their silence on the star's shock passing in emotional tributes as they remembered their 'amazing' father. 

The late actor's death at age 86 on Thursday, March 19 was announced by his loved ones the following day - shortly after he suffered a medical emergency in Hawaii

Norris welcomed his two youngest children Dakota and Danilee, 24, with wife Gena O'Kelley in 2001. 

He is also survived buy sons Mike, 63, and Eric, 60, whom he welcomed with first wife Diane Holechek. Later in life, he learned he had a daughter Dina, 61, from a previous relationship. 

Dakota took to his Instagram page to share a series of photos of himself with the star - who had been known for his roles in projects such as Walker, Texas Ranger. 

'Dad, it's hard to find the right words for this, but I'll do my best. You've been the man I looked up to my whole life,' he began.

'Dad, it's hard to find the right words for this, but I'll do my best. You've been the man I looked up to my whole life,' he began

'Your generosity, your kindness, your courage, your integrity, your strength, your discipline, and your faith in the Lord were just a handful of things I always admired about you. You lived your life with purpose and with love for all people.' 

Dakota called Norris 'the greatest father God could have ever given me and the finest man I've ever known.' 

He added how the actor was 'always there' for him and always 'made sure I knew how much you loved me.'

Dakota expressed that he is 'so proud' to be his son before reflecting on the memories they were able to make together. 

'Thank you for everything you gave to our family and for the example you set every day. I hope I can live a life that honors you and makes you proud. I love you, Dad. I'll miss you forever.'

His twin sister Danilee also penned a heartbreaking message to her own Instagram account as she got candid about grief. 

She wrote that 'losing a parent is something that you are never prepared for.' 

Danilee then reflected on her 'sweet dad' and 'the amazing man he is.'

'Thank you for everything you gave to our family and for the example you set every day. I hope I can live a life that honors you and makes you proud. I love you, Dad. I'll miss you forever,' he concluded

Danilee then reflected on her 'sweet dad' and 'the amazing man he is'

'My dad loved so deeply and cared for every single person in his life with so much tenderness. He may have a warrior exterior, but his heart was so full of love and I'm so grateful that is something he and my mom passed down to me.'

She expressed how grateful she is to have Norris as her father and promised to 'carry on his legacy and shower others in that compassion that he so frequently showed.'

Danilee further added, 'I thank You, Lord, for blessing me with a father who took every opportunity to show me that he wanted to give us a good life. 

'And thank you, Dad, for supporting me in all my passions and for pushing me to not shy away from the impossible.'

She said that her father's love for her 'made me learn to love myself.

'I promise I will always and forever try to make you proud even if you already reminded me every day that it was impossible not to. I love you forever. Love your little girl, Danilee.'

She additionally included photos with her father that were taken over the years, such as the pair spending time at the beach.

Danilee further added, 'I thank You, Lord, for blessing me with a father who took every opportunity to show me that he wanted to give us a good life'

His family announced his death on Friday in a statement to the late star's Instagram account. 

'It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.'

They added, 'While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.'

His loved ones reflected on how he was 'a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.'

They emotionally shared that their 'hearts are broken' but are 'grateful for the life he lived and for the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him.'

Norris' final Instagram video was uploaded just days before his death on March 10 - which was also his 86th birthday. 

The martial artist could be seen boxing outside during a workout and told his followers in the caption, 'I don't age. I level up!' 

He added, 'I'm 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I'm grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.

Norris starred in a number of films during his successful career as an actor such as The Way Of The Dragon (1972), The Delta Force (1986) and The Expendables 2 (2012). 

He took on the lead role in the CBS series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 until its end in 2001 following nine seasons. 

Norris held black belts in karate, taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and also Tang Soo Do.
