Chris Pratt is one of the highest-grossing movie stars in history thanks to his roles in the Marvel and Jurassic World universes, but he also finds time to star in other projects that won’t finish the year at the top of the box office. Earlier this year, Pratt teamed up with Rebecca Ferguson for Mercy, the AI sci-fi thriller that struggled at the box office under the weight of its $60 million budget. Despite a disappointing box office performance, though, Mercy did go on to become one of the most-watched movies of the entire year on Prime Video. Pratt swiftly found box office redemption with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which was the first film of 2026 to hit $1 billion at the global box office.

However, the biggest project of the year for Chris Pratt has been The Terminal List Season 2. The first season of The Terminal List premiered all the way back in 2022, the same year as the first season of Reacher, and while Prime Video has managed to release four full seasons of Reacher to date, it’s taken years to get the second season of The Terminal List to the screen. In a few weeks, though, Pratt will jump to a new streaming service for another military project similar to The Terminal List, but with a bit more heart. We’re talking, of course, about Way of the Warrior Kid, the new Apple TV movie set to be released on November 25. Apple TV released the first trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid earlier this week, showing Pratt back in familiar territory playing a Navy SEAL.

Everything We Know About ‘Way of the Warrior Kid’

In addition to Chris Pratt, Way of the Warrior Kid also stars Linda Cardellini and Jude Hill. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Jocko Willink, who also stars in the film as Coach Adam. Will Staples wrote the script for the new film with McG directing. The movie follows a self-doubting kid who is being bullied at school, but when he turns to his Navy SEAL uncle whose home for the summer, he finally finds his courage and learns to stand up for himself.

Check out Way of the Warrior Kid on Apple TV starting on November 25 and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the film.
