According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film follows a man who looks after his apartment complex pool received a 22% rating from critics and a 20% score from viewers.
Pine later told NPR that the feedback on his film aided his perspective of the impossibility of 'perfection' in filmmaking.
'My film got absolutely just decimated when it premiered in Toronto, just like obliterated,' he reflected. 'Which brings up for me one of my primary triggers, or whatever, is not being liked or this idea of perfection, of not creating something that is perceived as [perfect].'
