Charlize Theron flaunted her fit figure in a stylish look in NYC on Wednesday to promote her upcoming action thriller Apex.
The 50-year-old actress - who recently took a subtle swipe at fellow actor Timothee Chalamet - opened up about how she learned the 'incredible sport' of rock climbing while stopping by the Today show.
The star discussed her training for the role and explained that she was taught how to rock climb for 'one month.'
The host chimed in to say, 'It's always struck me as one of those sports where there's very little room for error. Like if something goes sideways when you're rock climbing, that's a completely different story.'
'Especially without a rope, right?' Theron jokingly replied, before adding, 'I have such an admiration and respect for climbers now.
'Because the dedication, the willpower, the brain power and the problem solving and the physical aspect of it. It's really, it's an incredible sport.'

Theron also talked about doing her own stunts in additional projects over the years such as The Old Guard 2 and Atomic Blonde.
'That's what is so wonderful about my business is you get to work with the best,' the star said.
'And I have to say in the stunt world, there are these incredible humans who work really hard. By the time I walk onto the set, everything's been tested and stress tested and full proof and the safety part of it is very important to me.'
Filming for the survival action thriller, which also stars Taron Egerton, took place in Australia.
'In this case, I was climbing a lot. I was climbing pretty much every day,' Theron previously told People. 'And when I got to Australia I was kayaking a lot. That's a massive workout.
'I was just getting as strong as I could because I climb all of the actual mountains in the movie. I'm climbing all of it - and I'm climbing it barefoot on my own raw feet.'
The Monster actress shared that she had never climbed before shooting the film but gushed it had been 'so much fun.'
The premise of Apex is: 'When an adrenaline junkie sets out to conquer a menacing river, she discovers that nature isn't the only thing out for blood,' per IMDB.

The project is set to drop on Netflix on April 24.
Along with recently learning the sport of rock climbing, Theron has been vocal about the way she stays fit.
During an interview with Elle UK last year, the Oscar winner expressed, 'I love Pilates and I love yoga.'
She further emphasized the importance of moving your body every day.
'More than fitness, I think one of the most incredible things to keep up as you get older is your mobility.'
Theron added, 'Diet, of course, is very important, but I think being able to move and using your core is crucial. As I've gotten older, I pay so much more attention to the way I move.'
When it comes to her daily diet, the star told Red Magazine, 'I have juices and kale and green salads every single day.
'When I'm eating healthily, getting enough sleep and not drinking alcohol, that's when I look my best. That's when I'm happiest and I think it shows.'

The Mad Max: Fury Road star showed off her toned figure wearing a halter-styled, dark navy dress that clung to her frame.
The stylish outfit contained ruffled details along the hem and she slipped into a pair of gray pumps.
Her short blonde locks were parted to the side, easily revealing a pair of flashy silver earrings.
A warm blush was added to better accentuate her cheekbones while a glossy nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a final touch.
Theron later brushed aside the rainy weather as she left the Today show in a different look.
She put on a leggy display wearing a white skirt as well as a semi-sheer top and comfy sneakers.
The South African-born actress held a black purse in her hand before heading to her next destination.
Theron is preparing for the release of another film later this year after taking on a role in Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey - which hits theaters on July 17.

Other cast members include Matt Damon, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Lupita Nyong'o.
'Actually, it is no pressure for me because I am in it for a very small part. It's an incredible ensemble cast,' she said on Today.
'I was very lucky to spend the last week with them, super fun,' the actress reflected, before recalling how she heard of tickets already selling out before filming had wrapped.
'And not that any of this pressure is on my shoulders, but I just went like, "Oh! Oh okay, I better not f[***] it up for the next three days,"' she jokingly added.
